Hi all,
Got my VK in the mail yesterday morning and so far its been an interesting experience. I noticed myself getting anxious about quitting smoking while waiting for my start kit. I was feeling a bit of remorse over leaving analog cigarettes behind. It was almost like I was mentally sabotaging myself in order to have an excuse to keep on smoking the poisonous analogs. Either way I was committed to making a real effort to quit analog cigarettes so I kept a very open mind.
So far I've been vaping for about 28 hours and have only smoked four analog cigarettes! Amazing! The only reason I smoked those four cigarettes was to compare traditional smoking with vaping. The first hurdle I had to overcome was the taste of E-cigs. They do not taste like traditional cigarettes but they mimic them (in the smoke department) just enough to satisfy and replace analogs without any serious mental anguish.
And that's the key...Any inhibitions about E-cigs/Vaporizing comes from mental fears and years of deeply ingrained habit. At first I disliked the taste but was willing to put up with it in the hopes that I would get used to it. Since then (28 hours later) I'm finally starting to enjoy the taste. When I attempt to smoke an analog cigarette I just don't want to smoke it! It does begin to taste foul after smoking/vaping for a little while.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is give them a chance. Allow yourself to get used to them and everything will go well for you. Any problems with taste will eventually work itself out. Analog cigarettes tasted like .... the first time I smoked them but after continual use I acquired a taste for them. The same thing is true concerning e-cigs (though they don't taste as bad as I let on). Give them a fair shake and you'll be well on your way to quitting those nasty, smelly, destructive analog cigarettes.
I'm really shocked that in less then two days I'm already off analog cigs. And I've been smoking since I was twelve years old! I smoke (or used to up until yesterday!) 2 packs a day, sometimes more, rarely any less and it is a miracle that I have stopped smoking them in such a short span of time! Reader beware: If you haven't received or haven't ordered a PV yet I wouldn't spend too much time on this forum. All of the talk about smoking tends to make you smoke a lot more! I found myself sucking down analog cigs like crazy while I was researching PVs.
All in all PVs are the way to go if you're looking for a surefire way to quit smoking. My experience with Vapor4Life.com was very good overall. I could nitpick and talk about a mistake they made concerning my order but it wouldn't be fair considering how they stepped up and fixed things (Free merchandise always heals a wounded hand!
). I'd feel good ordering from them again without any reservations. As it stand right now I'm very happy with my vaporizing experience.
thanks.
