How many do you smoke a day, what strength etc.

As a suggestion a small pen vape or pod style would be a cheap way to try vaping while you figure out what works for you.

And yes you should quite while pregnant as it’s a studied fact it damages the baby.
I agree and support the majority of your statement with a small qualification about pregnancy.
“Fact” in this case is a bit strong. A lot of studies were done on pregnant women who smoked, but very little has been studied on women who vaped during pregnancy. Logic states that it is very possible that vaping will have the same or similar effect on a developing fetus as smoking. Namely affecting the the development of the placenta. The actual studies are lacking though at this time. There are some studies on use of the patch, which uses the same chemicals as ecigs mostly, that find vastly reduced harm to babies.

If the OP CAN quit while she is pregnant, it is vastly preferable that she do it. If that turns out to be simply impossible it is possible that vaping will do LESS harm than smoking. How much less if any is unknown.

Agreed, the affect of nicotine would still be present.
Though the other few thousand chemicals won’t be there to effect with the vape.

hello, all. i want to find a suit myself electric cigarette.because I have pregnant , I can't stop to smoking .have any vape is health or will not injury my baby ?
Welcome to ECF.
Love how blithely people who couldn't "just quit" are suggesting that you "just quit" smoking. I would say get a set up like the Kroma/Zenith kit and try 0mg juice. The hand to mouth habit and inhaling/exhaling vapor habit is as strong as the chemical addiction to cigs. The first weeks will be difficult but having the comfort of hand to mouth may ease some of the stress. Be sure to inform your obstetrician that you attempting to quit smoking. Best wishes and congratulations .

I'd say most vapes are healthier than smoking but as far as I know there are no major med. studies on pregnant women + vaping during pregnancy. If you can't stop smoking, 0 mg. juice prob. won't work for you, I'd suggest 3-6mg ones so you could fill the nic. hunger and still be smoke free on vaping.

I'm so sorry you are having trouble. I cold trukeyed the second I found out I was pregnant, but I must say, I sort of consider it a minor miracle that I could, and I wanted to smoke the entire damn time.

I am not a doctor and there are no studies I know of either, so I don't know how vaping would work. It's probably better than smoking but by how much I don't know. I do know women have gone on smoking cessation programs that involve the patch or gum or what not. That involves some nic.

I would talk to your OB and if you can vape do it at as low an amount of nic than you can, and if ZERO nic is doable, that would probably be best.

I know it's abit against most advice but here is what my doctor told me because I did smoke while pregnant

do not just quit... much like babies of drug addicted mothers, the baby is already used to the nicotine and would go through withdrawal.... but do start to reduce your usage, if you think about it, it makes since...what you put into your body the baby gets as well.... so start cutting back do not just quit all at once

while vaping won't exactly be any better for the baby as it will still get nicotine, it will however be better for you and you can easily control the amount of nicotine you intake
and after the baby is born vaping is a much better option as there is no second hand smoke

    Welcome and glad you joined.
Any elective chemical introduced to your system is not good, especially during pregnancy. I strongly suggest you limit or eliminate all forms of unnecessary chemicals to your body.
If you absolutely must, you could vape extremely low amounts (along the lines of 3mg) of nicotine to zero nicotine e liquid. Could also vape unflavored* (30/70 PG/VG) just to be even a little safer.
    * Unflavored is simply e liquid without any flavoring. RE: Unflavored / Flavorless E-Liquid by Juishy E-Juice (100ml)
The information below may help you to obtain a good foundation of vaping knowledge. If you choose to vape , please try to stay away from sub ohm equipment/style during pregnancy. I thank you and I'm sure your baby will thank you for your concern.

    Not true.
Nic. is by far not the worst thing that regular cigs. contain. All the tar and other chemicals - vaping is free of that.
You still think it is not any better for mother/baby?
I was referring to just the nic part
