Hello all,

So after dipping my toe through the usual story of disposable e-cigs to a 510-style rechargeable, I got sick of losing 'hit power' with dying batteries and drying cartomizers and got a vTube. Not being too sure about the usual advice of single over dual coil tanks with the thing, I got the tank Apollo offered and lo and behold, it came today. Setup was a snap, but now I think the tiny details come into play:

What exactly can I expect if I switch over to a single coil tank (I have a Vision Vivinova on the way)? The amount of vapor I can get off of this seems fairly good with the dual coil, so I'm not sure what I'm missing. I tuned the voltage to about 4.4 and it seems like a happy medium between throat hit and flavor (at 18mg strength). That being said, is there more I'm not taking into account? I have some liquids from Backwoods coming in, which I've heard good things about, but I'm wondering if even then the voltage will make a huge difference with a different liquid.

Basically now that I have a new gadget to play with, I'm curious if anyone has advice as to what settings and equipment I can play around with to see what range of vaping I can get from the thing.

Thanks!

I feel the biggest difference between single coil and dual coil comes down to battry life. For instance, a 1.5 ohm dual coil carto actually has (2) 3.0 ohm coils heating. That means your battery has more of a load on it then you would have with one 3.0 ohm single coil. With an 1.5 ohm dual coil atty that I have, I vape at 3.5 volts. When I use my single 3.0 ohm cartos, I vape at 5 volts. The vaper production and taste are about the same, I just prefer the single coils because they don't drain my battery nearly as much.

Yep, ive found 4.0v or so with 1.8ohm vivi atty installed is good for me. 3.0ohms just uses more battery from the juices I use. The only dual coil ive used was in a smok tech dual carto. Cartos just arent for me, but the vapor production was about the same ... MAYBE a tad more but I dont need it

I think I'm just too lazy for atomizers. Plus with this ridiculous shiny chrome mod and a tank I can pretend I'm a background extra in a sci-fi flick (I can't be the only person who's thought they look like space props)

Anyhow, Vivinova tank and the other flavors come in tomorrow. Then I'll be sure to uh.....vape them?

Thanks again for all the advice guys.
