Got this new tank the other day. The fireluke pro. I got the new mesh sextuple coils for it. I use to hit my last fireluke sextuple at 90 watts. The voopoo drag recommended I hit it at 80 watts. My last fireluke mesh tank, the first one, recommended 80 too but it was way too high. I always would do 65 watts and it was perfect. In fact, I was having flavor issues until I went back down to 65.

Is it the same case with this one? Since its a much bigger coil than the fireluke mesh, with three separate coils inside, I would think that it would need at least 70 watts. In fact I dont really taste the flavor like I want ( the flavor on lips ) until I go up to 90.

Well I have been through three different coils. The first one wasnt good. The second one was alright. The third one isnt good either. Not a good flavor, no popping sound when I hit it, not a great draw, and wears out fast.

Is this just not a very good tank? Would it be better if I got a Falcon Tank? I have been wanting one for a while but got a cheaper deal on this fireluke pro. If I know for sure that it will be worth it, I will buy the Falcon.

The Sextuple is not a Mesh coil, the only coil close to it currently is the Mesh Pro Triple. The Firelock Sextuple usually runs at around 75 watts, the Duodenary around 90 watts, and is Kanthal. The other coils available for the Fireluke Pro are the Duodenary, DVC 0.15 and 0.20 kanthal coils.
The Mesh Pro coils do work in Fireluke and Fireluke Pro but the Mesh coils use less wattage just as the original Fireluke Mesh tank/coils, the 0.15 kanthal(55w) and the SS316L coil(65w ir in TC).
The Mesh, just as using it in my RDA, heats up much faster than the normal Kanthal. If you do get the Mesh Pro coils I would advise between 65-75 watts maximum on all 4 of them(kanthal, SS316L, Dual, and Triple).
I personally have never had a bad coil from them. All 4 new Mesh Pro coils lasted between 12 and 14 days using 80/20 or 70/30 fruit, desert, and coffee flavors.
These coils do not make any noise, popping is usually excessive liquid present when the coil is working. When using these coils make sure to soak them for no less than 15 minutes while making several unpowered pulls through the drip tip. Start you wattage low, 45w, and slowly work your way up to the 70w range. The rating on the side of the coil is an estimation and not necessarily what the User will vape it at.
The Fireluke Pro has less airflow than the Mesh Pro also.

The VooPoo Drag is not making recommendations for what power level you should run your coil at. It's only using a manufacturers preset power starting point for common coil values. It's one of the many things I dislike about the Drag.

Try using a power level in the middle of the coils rated range and go up or down from there.

0.15 ohm Kanthal DVC Coil (rated 60 to 120W)
0.25 ohm Kanthal DVC Coil (rated 50 to 100W)
0.15 ohm Sextuple Coil (rated 60 to 140W)
0.15 ohm Duodenary Coil (rated 80 to 180W)

Thanks I really appreciate it! I have it running decent. But I feel like 90 watts is the best range. Maybe I am wrong. I will lower down to 75 for the next few days and keep you updated on how it goes!

So only 15 minutes to soak? Thats not bad at all. I saw somewhere where a guy was either letting them soak overnight, or at least letting them sit in the tank for 2 hours.. I just cannot do that. When I get a new flavor I like to use a fresh coil and I do not have a backup vape either.

Having a backup vape is always a good idea. If something breaks what will you do? As to soak times, if a coil needs two hours, let alone overnight either the person isn't priming it probably to begin or the coil has something wrong with it to need that much time to saturate the wicking material.
