Has anyone thought about testing a firewire PT? Seeing how "5V" USB PT's don't actually get to 5V (mine, not inline battery model, comes in at 3.52V without an atty on it) under load, this could be the answer for a true 5V PT. Firewire provides 8-40V and up to 2Ah! Voltage could easily be regulated the a TI voltage reg. On a related note see Scottbee's thread on voltage! Any thoughts?
