This is actually very scary I know how important battery safety is. I came home last night and tossed a battery in, slid the door and walked thru the house vaping, but I felt really weak...fully charged 4.2v 30a orbotronic battery. I took the door off, and as they contact spark spark. It left this black spot on my batteries...I've over looked something I must have...any help would be appreciated or its gonna be shelved and collect dust

So just give it a good clean and noalox it up? I clean and do this often but I've never seen sparks lol ill give this another good cleaning then. Do I need to sand or file it any? I never have I figured over time small sanding would just make it smaller and smaller

Yes, you need to give it a light sanding.. Like the video shows.. That metal is hard, you arent going to destroy it. Need to get the oxidation off with a file..

Try putting a dab of noalox on the positive of the battery too if you don't. Then when you switch just wipe it off with your finger and wipe it onto your next. I haven't had any sparking since I started doing that.

Ditto. I'd sooner leave the house with an empty juice bottle than an un-greased nipple.

Flat or nipple top? I get a lot more arcing (sparks) with flat tops and stopped using them until the SO kit comes out because of it. If they are nipple tops, you must have a really dirty firing pin...that I see you have since fixed. :)
