I got one from eBay a couple months ago. I haven't used it till tonight. I put off using it till I was more knowledgeable about battery safety, and builds. The seller has a 99.9% positive feedback.

So I put the rda on and then started putting in a battery, it started firing. I wasn't pressing the fire button either. I took that battery out immediately. I decided to try the other battery in a different slot, same result.

I admit I'm new to unregulated box mods. Does it normally do that, auto fire with just one battery installed, even though the fire button isn't depressed?
Does it auto fire until both batteries are installed?

Was the problem having the rda on it while installing batteries? Or is it just a bad mod? The wiring looks okay, I don't see any obvious problem there.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The ONLY thing that should fire your atty is the press of the fire button!

There has to be a short somewhere between the battery and the 510 that is bypassing the switch, or the switch is shorted/stuck closed.
Without any batteries installed, does the switch seem to operate correctly?

Do you have a digital multi-meter to check for shorts?

No problem.
My bet is on the switch being bad. Or there's some solder where it doesn't belong!
You can pick up a decent enough multi meter for less than $20, good thing to have around. Or even borrow one from someone you know. Anyone that is handy at home probably has one.
Hope you didn't pay much for the mod!!

Not to much, I think about $45 for mod and rda. I went to a vape shop today. Only one in town and bought what I should have and wanted anyways, an updated snow wolf :) :) :)
Plus I picked up a multimeter. I've been tinkering with the idea of building my own mod anyways, so here's my chance!

Thanks RuDawg,

I didn't think it was supposed to act like that.
The firing button just squishes in. Even on YouTube reviews most of the reviewers complain about that too. I don't have a multimeter yet.

I think I'm just going to save it as a rebuild project for one of these days.

IMO, without a Multimeter, you have NO BUSINESS installing batteries the mod. ANY mod.

If you want to build your own mod you have a good box to do it in. Just be sure to replace the switch and get rid of all the glue on the solder points. Resolder everything real nice and heat shrink over it.
