So I grabbed another starter kit where I got hubby's first one because, hey, it works pretty darn good for a bubble kit. Brought it home and was a little miffed that the battery was completely dead. This is an Evod (probably a knockoff, but it works so I'm not going to question it). Plugged that puppy in and it looked like a go, then I waited for the happy green light that would tell me it was ready, yay!

Never got the green light, huh....

So I end up unplugging the bugger and the blue light on the battery would not turn off no matter what. Here I was so excited that hubby would have a backup battery since he's been doing so great with this no cig thing, but no.

Well, at 5:30 this morning I took it right back, and had to sacrifice some juice too, and got a different one. Guy was super nice about it and promised that his vendor would hear about this issue. He wasn't happy that one of his regulars had to deal with a defect. This is just a little corner gas station that caters to us locals and what we're looking for in my sleepy little tourist trap town. :)

So long story short (haha I'm never short with my stories) I finally have a backup for me and hubby, and they all work. Now, to end the hunt for the best juice? Nah, I've got way to many shops to find between home and work.....this vaping thing is really addicting! BUT still cheaper than cigarettes.

Current favorite = Hibiscus Cotton Candy

Welcome Lisa :)

B&M - Brick & Mortar. A real storefront, instead of an internet site :)

Congrats on getting your battery issue resolved. Backups, backups, backups!!!

Re: the hunt for the end-all/be-all juice - GOOD LUCK! My B&M is pretty great, but more spendy than I want. I've ordered online (Mt. Baker Vapor and Killer Juice). MBV has 15 ml bottles for about $5. I picked up a few from Killer during their weekend $0.99 (15 mL) sales. I just started making my own, so I doubt I'll be buying much any more. It's all about what *YOU* like.....

I got a KGO starter kit from Virgin Vapor that came with 2 1100mah batteries (as well as 2 CE4 clearomizers, and a charger), and one of the batteries will give me the multi-blink of non-compliance if I try to use either of my Kanger tanks with it. It usually works fine with the plastic clearos, but the battery seems to die quickly. It's only one of the batteries that does this, but I find it strange. Not a complete battery failure, but a battery mishap?

Also, I highly recommend Virgin Vapor's e-liquids. Very high grade, a great collection, and they even have completely ethanol-free liquids.

I've taken a LOT of baby steps in this 5-6 month journey of mine. My first was getting past the *fear* of dry-burning my coils. Then I got brave and started rebuilding my kanger heads. Heh, not too hard. Let's get a kayfun clone. Hmmm, that's still not too bad. I can wrap a mean 1.9Ω coil, but can't get the dang thing to wick correctly. Much more practice needed.... Uhhh, o.k. I'm spending too darn much on juice (even when my B&M has sales, I was still dropping a boatload of money.) So for the same cost as my last major juice purchase, I have 1/2 gal PG/VG and about 30 different flavor bases. I'm still vaping off my store-bought juice (way too many bottles :D)

DIY is going to take some practice too. Eh, all part of the experience. About 3/4 of the juices I've made so far haven't been too bad. So, how do you get to the Met? Practice, practice, practice!

That's 1/2 the fun :)

I have killed 4 egot's this month. Its not the batteries fault, I keep dropping them on concrete floors while working. Old habits die hard and sometimes the weight of the large ego and bcc hanging from my lip, slip on by when my hands are full.
An expensive lesson this month.

I ended up getting hubby a lanyard for his fearing this same thing....
