Hello Modders, I need to pick your brains here for a second. I built a boxmod with the TI 08100 chip in it from the Evercool thread on the site here. For the last couple of months it has worked flawlessly. So much so that my mechs were gathering dust on my desk.

The other day I went to use it and it was hitting kind of weak, so I changed out the batts for another set. Hasn't fired since. I got out the multimeter and started probing. I have power from the batteries to the switch and if I hit the fire button I have power at the pcb. I don't however have any voltage at all from the pcb to the atty. I think I might have to order another chip but I wanted to check with the brighter minds here first. Is there something else that could possibly cause this that Im missing?

Oh, just for background... I usually run it at 4.25-4.5 volts and keep my builds .8-1 ohm range. The only thing that has changed is my coil build. I started using twisted 28 guage instead of just regular 28 guage coils.

Thanks very much in advance!

The chip is almost bullet proof it would have been a cold join or 510 is shorted. Swing the pot round and try it again..

Batteries amp rate and age sag can also come into play but it will still fire.

Ok I wont trash it just yet. After work I'll go thru and check all my joints and the 510. Thanks
