Hiding up a tree
Using Kayfun parts on the Orchid works well for some juices. I found that if it is a thick juice the air bubbles have a hard time getting out of the channels and past the lower chimney section (due to the decreased tank width). So, if you are taking a few hits in quick succession you might get some dry hits (due to sucking the air bubbles back in rather than juice).

I am not sure if anyone else has experienced this or if it can be cured by unscrewing the chimney a bit?

BUMP to the top! :D My Orchid v2 from Tobeco is coming in today! So excited! Ordered mine from 101vape. Going to be using a kayfun nano kit that I purchased on FT a while ago for my EHpro Kayfun but it did not quite fit. Juice also coming today! Today will be good!

I just got mine today from 101vape. I was surprised to see that it came with phillips head screws installed in addition to four of the smaller hex head screws and an allen key in the spare parts bag. I also bought a quartz nano kit with it and it does not fit my Kayfun Lite V2 either - in the nano configuration. The V2 top cap interferes with the nano (short) chimney and wont screw on. The nano kit from 101vape also came with a full sized quartz tank and that does work on the Kayfun V2 with the standard (longer) chimney.

Anyway, the nano kit seems to fit fine on my Orchid but it's currently installed on one of my KFL clones so I ordered two more. It's a nice kit for 10 bucks, comes with two quartz tanks (nano and standard) and a nano chimney.

As far as the Orchid - it works great. I'm running dual coils with 7 wraps of 28 ga (5/64" bit) for just over .6-ohms with cotton wicks. I just cut the wicks a tiny bit longer than the edge of the deck, pasted the ends down near each channel with some juice, assembled, filled and vaped. No leaks, gurgles, flooding, or dry hits. Using it on an Hcigar Nemesis and it is working fantastic.

Are you talking about the v2 or v3? Single or dual? I have coiled and wicked my v2 a half dozen times using a single coil with rayon and have no leaks or dry hits. I use a single piece through the coil and split it with half at the coil side cut short and the other half between the posts to the opposite side cut at the juice channels.

I have the same exact setup as you! But I did a 6 wrap of 28ga at .56 ohms. Also have an Hcigar neme, I think i need to make my wick a bit slimmer for the juice channels.

For the wicks I just cut mine in line with the edge of the deck. I then wet them and put them into position, making a sort of 'C' shape around the top of the juice channel. That way it catches the juice when it comes up and stops it from being able to directly go to the airhole.

Thanks! Will try this later today! Need to get this working right so I can put my TOBH and KFL+ to rest for a while lol

I was having issues with my Orchid and max-vg juices, kept getting random dry hits. I found a "tutorial" on YouTube where the guy recommended not putting the wick down the channels. Just wet the wick and tuck it under the coil and make sure the air holes are open. It's by far the best setup I've tried! Been through several bottles with out a single dry hit.
