hi room
my name is cheryl, i am new to the forum and also to vaping. I smoked for over 40 years, now i am transitioning myself. Wow what a change, wanting a cigarette instead i pick up and are vaping
I still find myself wanting to go back to analog. I know it is going to take time but wow is it hard to just change what you are used to. i hope within a few days it will get easier.

Also i have a question about the joye ego t, it seems to leak sometimes onto the battery, anybody know how to stop it from leaking

any help would be really appreciated.

thanks

I understand completely. It took me around 3 days to stop looking for my analogs. What I did was made sure I had no analogs around my house or car, which left me only with my vape. I love it now! I can use it inside and I don't have to excuse myself from the table after eating anymore. I just pull out my pv and go at it. Make sure your nic level is strong enough and find flavors that work for you. I thought I'd be using menthol tobacco flavors, but I found that I love fruity and sweet flavors the best. Enjoy and good luck.

Hi

I fixed ego-t leaking issues by checking the wick size
the ego-t type B I always purchase always come with the wick a bit longer than ideal, and it floods everything, even enough to start sucking liquid through the cartridge
if your issue is related to wick length yoy may try to cut it off a bit
sorry but I'm newbie to this forum, but for sure there must be lots of threads about this question

regards

Congrats on vaping! The first few days I still thought about cigs but only out of habit I think. I never really wanted or needed one from my first vape. It just hit me now and then, like after eating or while on the computer cuz those were my favorite cigs. But those thoughts are long gone and now my main priority is making sure my batteries are charged... my my how things change!

I use the eGo T type A and stopped lots of the leaking problems by getting silicone caps for the tanks. They're much better than the hard ones IMO. I still have some leaks now and then but nothing like with the hard caps. As much as I like my tanks, and I do, I've recently tried the ego mega dual coil cartos and I love 'em! Absolutely no leaks unless I overfill and it's a great vaping experience. I have a batt with a tank and one with a emdcc by my side at all times now.

Happy vaping! :vapor:

edited to add: I get the silicone caps a cignot.com for $1.50 for 5

I abandoned the ego -t atomizer alltogether. i tried all the fixes i could find on the web and i still got leaks. I ended up going to cartomizers. they are less hassle, less maint and easy to fill. i recomend trying a boge lr 510 carto set. you get 5 of them for less than 1 ego-t atty costs and for a former smoker the vapor output will feel closer to a cigarette than the ego-t did.

Welcome!!!

I'm also fairly new to vaping, I started with the BLU and it was terrible.. Battery did not last nearly as long as I needed and all the flavors tasted the same and burned my throat.. It was a good start though and I'm glad I kept up with it.. I then purchased an eGo with cartomizers and a 30ml bottle of "Nic Juice" all for the same price as the BLU... Everybody is different, but I would suggest you give cartomizers a shot... I am in love with my setup for the time being and could care less if I ever smoke another analog... No matter how hard it may seem, just keep at it.. Try different combinations of PVs, nic juices, carts, cartos, tanks, etc.. your body will thank you!!! as will your loved ones.. :)

Oh how I can relate...I was a two pack a day chain smoker for 35 years and never, ever thought I would quit. Not a heart attack of my own, my dad dying of one at 46, my mom dying of cancer at 58, sleep apnea, copd, breathing machines, inhalers, nothing worked until...I broke two ankles, one right after the other and was without a job and a mode of transportation with only a 17 year old to take care of me. Also finding out that my bones weren't knitting because of all of my years of smoking. I did'nt take the docs word for it either, I researched it myself and he was right. I finally broke, I became helpless and scared, but still would have crawled the mile to the nearest little country store (I live on a farm) if I hadn't found e cigs and this forum. This has saved me and the people on here are some of the kindest and most considerate I have ever come across in my life. I have the ego T, it takes some getting used to, it does not like dark, thick liquid, it prefers clearer juices also it needs a higher pg mix to wick well. Trial and error taught me this. But its all so worth it, I can breathe, I never knew I could breathe or smell or that my clothes did'nt have to have burn holes or that my hair didnt have to stink. I never knew I could really taste food and I never really knew I could be hungry, all I ever did was smoke and drink coffee. Your life is going to be better in so many ways, its hard to write it all down but you will feel it each and every day gets better and better....for me its been a miracle.

This forum is great. I am not new to vaping but this week is the first time I have actually made it through the whole week without one cig. I have smoked for 40 years and I have made it to the the week mark mostly because of this forum. You couldn't ask for a more supportive group of people. I also had to watch my mom pass away from copd and I am so thankful to have found out about vaping and this forum.

I spent my first week carrying around my e-cigs and my regular cigs and gave myself permission to alternate between the two. I know that I tend to buckle on things when I feel there's too much pressure, so I decided I wasn't going to give myself any grief if I smoked an analogue and that I would just see how it went. I figured every time I vaped it was one LESS cigarette smoked, so even if I had an analogue here and there, I was still coming out ahead. By day three or four I noticed I was smoking a lot less and that I actually thought about vaping before I thought about smoking. Within the week, I had switched completely and I left my cigarettes at home. This is just my experience - everyone is different and needs to find what works for them, but I think it's a process no matter who you are. You should be proud of yourself for taking this step.

Oh, as for the leaking, I have an e-go drip tip and mine leaks when I have too much liquid in the atty. I switched from tanks a while ago, so don't quote me on this, but I think I was told I could flood my atty if I primed my tank too much (i.e., took too many short pulls on it in a row) or if I sucked too hard and too quickly. My understanding is that the tank drips liquid into the atty as you pull, and if my understanding is correct, then pulling too hard/much would drip too much liquid and flood it (which would cause liquid to drip out of the seal between the atty at the batt. Before trying to mod things or buying something new, maybe just try pulling on it more gently. That was one of the biggest adjustments for me when switching from analogues - I used to suck my cigarettes back, so I was used to using a really hard pull and had to get used to being more gentle when I vaped.
(*nb: Is it just me, or does this whole post sound a little...um...dirty:blink:. I'm starting to feel like I must be using the wrong terms or something because that last sentence kind of made me blush:blush:).

It always makes me happy to see a new vaper! Good luck on the transition and give it time. My husband went back and forth for a month or two before he didn't want a analog anymore. I think it was the Peanut Butter Cookie juice that finally won him over. Your going to be amazed at how much better you feel in a month or two.

I agree. The tank is nowhere near prime time when it comes to hassle-free vaping or flavor, at least in MHO. I tried the silicone cpas, different atomizers, futzing with the wick...always the same. Somewhat decent vapor but the flavor just wasn't there. Switched to cartos and never looked back. Esy to use, easy to clean and a carto seems to last me a a couple or three weeks. I keep 5 or 10 around all the time and rotate through them, and clean 'em out every now and again when I notice the flavor going stale.
