Got my graduated cylinder, liter of 100mg nic, and a liter of VG in the mail today - promptly whipped up some 6mg/ml Pina Colada flavored vape. Not bad!Vapable, at least.

A few questions have come from this first attempt however.

1. How do you stir inside your graduated cylinder? I have a 100ml cylinder, don't have stirring tool narrow or long enough to get down there to give it a good stir before i pour into bottles

2. Anyone know of a good source for TINY funnels? Pouring from the cylinder into the dripper bottles can be done but it's a hassle and one of these days I'm going to make a mess...

3. At present I'm using 2x washable metered droppers for moving nic and flavoring into the cylinder. These are quite short, of course, and before long they aren't going to reach the level of the liquid. Anyone had any advice on what sorts of tools I should obtain for getting liquid out or half empty/nearly empty bottles?

Thanks!

Oh, and... today's mixes:
10ml 6mg unflavored: 20 cents.
30ml 6mg pina colada: 78 cents.

LOVE IT :D

DIY is fun.

Good day Spida and grats on your first ejuice brew. I too made my first batch yesterday and its great!

For stirring inside the cylinder, I didnt, I poured it into the botle and shook it up to blend it.

As for droppers I used the micro droppers 20 Transfer Pipettes 5ml Graduated Dropper Polyethylene Dosing Essential Oil | eBay that came with my DIY kit and some of the longer ones will get to the bottom of the cylinder.

Not sure what i am gonna mix today. Yesterdays mixture was first 120 ml 50/50 base mixture with %15 nic. Then I made 5 differant 5ml tobacco blends to steep, some creamy pumkin pie (10 ml), some lantern cheese cake (10 ml), some brandy eggnog (10 ml) and some waffle dreams (also 10 ml).

Good to hear it is going well. As you use this forum, you will find there are several answers to almost every question, and so you might gather several opinions and determine what will work best for you. Here is my take on your questions:

1. I just put all of my ingredients directly into the bottles with syringes and shake, but I only make batches up to 50 ml at a time. Some people recommend a stick blender or similar for mixing in a larger container, but there have been several threads recently about that, and many creative (and some hilarious) ideas have been shared. Here are some links:

2. Maybe one of these will work?

3. Syringes with blunt tip needles are good for small to medium bottles. Not all needles are the same length and diameter though, so check that. For VG, 14 gauge is best, or no needle at all. Anther idea I heard is to put plastic tubing on the end of the syringe. Syringes come in sizes from 1 ml to 50 ml or more. A few sources were recently discussed here:

But there are several other threads too, so search this subform for syringes. Pipettes are also used, and another option is to pour some into a wider container and draw from that for bulk liquids like VG and PG. Some folks put those into squeeze bottles as well.

...120 ml 50/50 base mixture with %15 nic....

One correction on that; 15% nicotine would be 150 mg/ml. 100% nicotine is approximately 1,000 mg/ml. In reality it is a bit more than that since nicotine is denser than water (which weighs 1,000 mg/ml at standard temperature and pressure), but that is the general value that is used as a rule of thumb.
