Sorry if any of this has been asked a lot before, but there is sooooo much info in these forums, and I don't have too much time to search.

Just got my very first ecig. A 510 manual scorpion edition from DietSmokes.com.

First question - I read all over that you're supposed to initially charge for 8 hrs, smoke for 20 min., recharge for 1 hour. However, there seems to be conflicting view about how neccessary this is. I put mine on the charger, and the light turned green after 2 minutes... I am very eager to start using it tonight, and wondering if it would really make any difference at all if I started vaping after only about 2 hours or so of charging -- I'll have time later tonight to do a full charge. Do you guys think this would damage my battery at all?

Second question - I bought a bottle of juice from the seller, and it came with 5 unmarked carts with filler in them (*not* the same ones that came with the starter kit). They appear to be dry, but they smell kind of like the juice, and I sucked on the end a little (just out of curiosity) and tasted a flavor to it. Is it really obvious with these carts if they are already filled? Do any companies ship juice along with 5 carts pre-filled with the juice?

Third -Do most models ship with primer? I'm hoping I don't have to spend hours trying to get some yucky taste out before I can start enjoying it...

Thanks for any help!

Read the instruction manual and vape. It will all come together soon.

Compare the pre-filled cartridges with the ones in question. When in doubt, squish down the filler. You should be able to determine if they are pre-filled easily.

All atomizers have some type of 'primer' to protect against moisture and to prevent the dense from burning up a new atomizer before reading the instruction manual. Vape through it (without inhales) for a half dozen draws. It will go away quickly.

Some suppliers pre-charge. Personally, mine came partially charged, and it wasn't really usable until I let it charge for 2-3hrs. It's known that sometimes the charger turns up green even though it's not 100%. If I were you I'd charge for 2hrs - if that works, then good, if not, then give it the full 8hrs.

All of my pre-filled carts are soaked - if yours appear dry, then they're probably blanks.

I think the majority, if not all atomizers have the primer.. not 100% sure on that, but in any case, atomizers take a few hours to break in before you really get optimal performance anyway. I didn't really notice it with my first atomizer, but on my 2nd it was ridiculously obvious. You'll know right away if you're tasting it.
