First ecig what to buy?

First ecig, first post, total newb!

From all I have read on this forum, Litecity is place to buy from! So I am about to place an order... I was thinking about a 401 dual atty hybrid kit, some marb and camel juice.

I have been a 2 pack a day Camel Light 99's/100's smoker for 20 years and I am looking for a realistic replacement for these stinky cancer sticks!

I would like something that is realistic looking and something that feels "like the real thing" in my hand. I am not looking for something that "sticks" out in a crowd. I would like to blend in with other smokers.

Is there any eliquid that tastes like a Camel? Or at least that tastes and feels like a non menthol cigarette?

I know I have a lot of ??? but I don't want to drop 60 bux on something that sits and collects dust!

Thanks everyone!

All comments welcome!

Chad,
I started with the M401,Good solid atomizer, but with all "normal" size e-cigs you will find u will be changing carts often. I have quit analogs with the e-cigs for 3 months now.But have found the M201 the best for strong hit, like an analog, and cart life is excellent.I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day. With the 201 I go though about 2 carts from the morning until night.
Good Luck

Hi Chad, welcome to ECF! LiteCig (Shawn) is an excellent supplier...he has many loyal customers as you can see reading around here in his forum.

I started out with the M401. It is a good e-cig, but it may take a couple of days to break in the atomizer (seems to be the nature of this beast). So if you do get one, don't give up on it. Once it starts kicking it has very nice vapor and a pretty good throat kick.

I also have Shawn's VX2 and a 510. They are both very good e-cigs. Both come with manual batteries, which means you have to push a button to activate. Most folks like these type batteries, as they give you more control over how long of a drag you can take.

As far as juice goes, it's very subjective. Juice I love you may think tastes nasty :D The tobacco flavors are really not anything like a regular cigarette. And a lot of people like the fruit and candy flavors. Shawn's liquids are as good as any I've had and he carries 10 ml bottles. Get you a few of those to try.

Whatever e-cig you get just be sure to get a couple of extra atomizers and batteries cause you just never know when one will crap out on ya 8-o
:D

Good luck!!! There is always someone around to help if you have any questions. I recommend watching some of the videos and reading the posts in the New Members area of the forum...there is a ton of great information.

I like the hands free auto batts. I get tired of always having to push the switch in.

I have a 510 which is long and tip heavy but comes with manual and auto batt options. The 510 is a good performer. If you use auto batt be sure to keep tip elevated most of the time to avoid flooding batt. The 510 is very popular now.

I recently ordered M403 because it is lighter which makes is easier to hold in the kisser.
Also to can vape hands free with auto batt. Neet thing about M403 is you can use M402 and M401 batts which are longer if you require longer charge time. The M401/M402/M403 are great for dipping and dripping. Dripping produces very consistent vapor and throat hit.

It is important to get juice in 24mg or 36mg while trying to quit. Those juices have real power. You can also buy a weaker juice for long vape sessions.

Nuvape sells samples for cheap (about $2 each) so you can choose flavor for yourself.
I like Hiltun (tobacco flavor), cola-coak, cream, coconut, banana, and vanilla.
I recommend getting a sample selection of juice; you may be surprised what flavors you like!

Wow, thanks for all the quick responses!

I have a question about drawing a hit? Do you guys hit it like a cigarette or do you hit it like, ummm, how do I say it, a "Jay"? lol ...I am asking because I see posts about 7 second cut-off times? Well, my mouth isn't big enough to take a 5 second drag. So I assume you draw it straight to the lungs?

I was asking about the tobacco flavors because I am looking for something similar to my Camels to make it easier for the transition.. Plus if I hand it over for someone else to hit from it, I don't want people to think I am toking on a lollipop!

It would be nice to find the 401 in white with a brown cart and orange led, (so it looks real) but I will only order from Litecig. He is the cheapest I have found, he is in the states, he answered his phone when I called (I think I woke him up! sorry Shawn) He has a lot of happy customers and the shipping is only 6 bucks! I haven't found anyone else with with the same list of positives!

I guess I need to read the newb section...

All comments welcome!

I have been vaping for about a month now and love it, 8 years of smoking down the drain when I purchased my M402. It looks like a steel cig with a black filter and it has a blue LED, but the size is the same... As for liquid flavours, I have yet to find one that tastes like a standard cig, but the ones that I have tried that I like the most are the RY4 and the fruit flavoured ones for everyday smoking, and the cappuccino and chocolates are good for and after dinner vape, it is almost like dessert.

First off you gotta realize that vaping is going to feel nothing like a real cigarette. PV's are metal, cigs are paper and leaves, so the weight difference alone make them feel nothing like a cigarette.

The throat hit from vaping isn't quite the same from smoking, but it is very similar. I don't know how to explain it really, but you'll see.

The draw from PV's vary quite a bit, some being really easy and others more cigarette like. Also you have to take slightly longer draws on pv's to get more throat hit. This is why people talk about taking 5-8 second drags. Sounds like a long time, but you don't have to really suck in during this. I usually take 3-7 second draws into the mouth, then into the lungs.

No juice is going to taste like a cigarette, although the various Camel juice's I've tried were the closest. This isn't a bad thing though, after a few weeks most people think vaping tastes better that smoking.

With smoking you just grab a burner and light it, vaping isn't quite so simple.

I'm not trying to turn you off the vaping before you start, I'm just trying to help you realize that it's not going to be the same as smoking. These differences aren't bad, they just take time to get used too. As long as you understand that before you start, you have a better chance of staying away from cigs.

Now for your kit...either a 401 or a 510. If you spend a lot of time at the computer definetly get a usb passthrough. Also try some non tobacco juices, you just might like em. A lot of people like RY4, and I love Cappucino. If you see any other flavors that spark you interests, buy em. Another thing to help you stick to vaping is finding which juices you like the most.

Hope this helps.

Well after having the litecig shopping cart on my computer for 3 weeks, I finally sent the order through! So, we'll see how it goes! I don't hide my thoughts so I will express them on here... Good or bad!

Thanks for the offer Boreman, but I already ordered from Shawn before I read your post... But, if these things are as great as everyone has said, I will be hooked and buy all I can!

Well, I just got my order! Shipped on Fri and in my hot little hands on Mon! I would say that is some fast shipping!

I couldn't wait... I screwed on a batt dropped 2 drops on the atty and took a puff... It works, has kind of a weird taste, but I like the weirdness of it. It is totally different than taking a drag from my Camel! Short little primer puff and I got a nice cloud!

Time to let the batts charge and see what it can really do!

The M401/M402/M403 are great for dipping and dripping. Dripping produces very consistent vapor and throat hit.

Just thought I'd point out that Shawn has stated that dripping is not a good idea with these. And I would have to agree. I killed my first 402 battery this way. My understanding is that since the innards of the 4xx series attys are not shielded, dripping can flood the battery and/or damage the atty.

I learned the hazards of dripping with old RN4081 batt...flood the atty and ruin the batt.

Now I have the hang of dripping...I can drip all day w/o spilling a drop...I just add 1-2 drops when I'm sure atty is thirsty...also helps to always keep LED end elevated....drip responsibly or don't drip with auto batt.

Shawn is right...don't drip unless you can control the liquid...it is bad news to get liquid in the batt.

This is great! I toked all the way through Meijer (similar to WalMart) and I didn't get harassed once! I had to stop a couple times to add a few drops,(I was in there about 2 hours) but I didn't have any problems.

When I first took it out of the box I charged the batt for about 20 mins but I couldn't wait any longer for it to charge. I had to try it!. It worked great with 2 drops dripped on the att. Then I tried a cart. That worked for about 2 min then petered out.

I read on here about cleaning the att to get the primer taste out of it, so I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol. After about 30-45 min of soaking I pulled it out and blew the piss out of it. Re-dripped (3 drops) and I had no vapor and no hit! I swapped batts and tried again... Nothing! So, I dripped 4 more drops on the att and Poof we're puffin now! This is so simple, if it isn't puffin, add some juice or charge the batt!

I know I am going to here that dripping is bad on the att, so I picked up a contact lens case while at Meijer's so I can dip instead. If I kill the atty's and Batts I guess I will just have to buy more, because the prefilled carts did NADA... Now the Cart I re-filled... That's a whole different story!

Anybody thinking about taking the plunge for an E-Cig, buy from Shawn! His products work and he stands behind them!
