First HV mod, Viva Nova, but juices can't handle it, I THINK?

Hi everyone. It's been a while since I posted here.

I got a Vamo a couple weeks ago, and a Vivi Nova tank that came with (3) different ohm attys. (Dude, loving it.) I've been using a simple 3.7v box mod with some different attys/cartos for like (3) years now, and finally made the leap to VV/VW. The thing I'm finding is that the juices I love don't seem to handle going over 4.5 to 5 watts without tasting burnt or really dry, which makes me think I'm going to toast my atty. Most of the reviews I watch have people using 8ish watts. I've been using the 2.8ohm atty with the Vivi Nova. Do I need to change juices? Or try a 3-4ohm atty in this tank? I'm a throat hit over more vapor person, which is why I usually only do 10% VG on my orders, so maybe that's the issue? I feel like I should be getting good flavor and strong vapor without having to take 5 second long hits on these devices.

Juices I love are Atomic Cinnacide, and recently Alien Blood, from Tasty Vapor.

Thanks in advance for the advice everyone.

Jason

Hmmmm..... I am at 8 Watts with my Vamo loaded with a Vivi Nova Mini. My Vamo says that my coil is 2.0 Ohms and I am getting good heat, vapor and flavor. I am vapeing an 80pg/20vg mix fireball juice. I am throat hit kinda person as well. I do have to tilt it from time to time and rotate it around a bit to make sure the wicks are nice and wet or I will get a dry burnt hit if I am chain vapeing.

May try that in between hits to see if it isn't wicking very good. Just a thought...

Hey Geeve. I just changed to the 2.4ohm atty that came with the Vivi Nova, and I'm at 8 watts with GREAT flavor and strong vape/hit. Maybe I just had a bum 2.8ohm. I was doing the roll to keep wicks wet, as I thought the same thing, but didn't seem to make a difference. Damn this is good. Hey, where do you order replacement attys for this from?

Thanks again!

Hi tj99959, yeah, I've using 4-5 watts to keep the flavor nice. The problem is that it felt no better than my 3.7v box mod, so I was disappointed. Perhaps my 2.8ohm atty wasn't a good one. It happens. I was under the impression that higher resistance was typically better for the higher voltages, but perhaps I understood wrong. :/

Glad you got it where you want it!! The first vape I had on my Vamo changed my life coming from 1100mah Manual non VV egos LOL!

Usually for atty's I will just go to a local B&M. I just got it (The Vivi) yesterday and bought a metal tube because I had some heavy cinnomon coming in vapemail and needed something quick. Haven't had a chance to look around for the best deals on Atty's yet. Probably do like I do with my iClears and just pay $3-$4 buck local and grab them when I need them though. I tend to keep at least one extra around...

Edit: If you come across a good place for them let me though. I do like a deal :)
