FYI for those who are new to these like me. OXIDIZE, boy did I learn what a good oxidized mesh is. First I just held it to the gas stove several times while it glowed, and then put juice on it several times to burn off. I popped so many coils. Finally I went back to the stove, same issue. Went back again and this time quenched it in water and that made a world of difference doing that like 3 times. Finally got a coil to read 2.3 ohms, with 32 kanthal. Also do not use a pen top cap to move the coils it started to melt that and luckily it burned off what little got on there so it didn't ruin the mesh or coil (or taste of the juice.) So now it is working very well, I am breaking it with some Gandalf from HHV. Taste comes and goes but I think that is due to breaking it in, plus I am slowly bringing up the volts, right now at 4 so it is only like 6.7 watts.
So far I really love this thing and well worth the money. Even though it was annoying I surprisingly did not get frustrated, a lot of fun to play with. Actually excited to build another coil and wick sometime, may do it sooner then later because I do not like how my bottom mesh is. I tried to cut it at an angle after rolled and it kinda smushed it.
Do you think that will be fine, it seems to wick fine, but would it make a difference to make sure it is cleaner cut or at an angle for the mesh wick?
So the only negative is I only have one
