First Impressions

Just received the volt I ordered in the mail today. It is very slick looking, very impressed with the packaging, design and overall presentation. This is my first ecig and was a bit surprised how it feels. I grabbed the sweet sampler pack at 12mg's and threw on vanilla to test it out. Someones got to answer this for me; that prickly feeling in your throat, the almost spicy sensation, is that the throat hit? Its peculiar, just wondering about that. I rather enjoy the onset of the buzz as opposed to a head rush that cigs give you. I'll know later tonight how well this will fit into my routine but so far im pretty excited with it.

Also, on storing it, I have the carto cap it came with on while its attached to the battery. Is that necessary? Read lots of information about things drying out and keeping the cartos saturated or whatever. Should i remove the carto from the battery when not in use? Appreciate the replies.

Glad you are liking your Volt. That "prickly" feeling you describe would most likely be the throat hit. As far as storing your filled cartos, I always remove them from the battery and put the caps on each end when not in use. Enjoy!

Sitting for a reasonable amount of time won't dry out a cartomizer. Neither will leaving a carto attached. Glad you're enjoying the Volt. Smokeless Image is a great supplier and is very loyal to their customers!

Awesome, appreciate the replies. Did a little searching and looks like SI uses 100% PG with their juices. That pretty much explains the throat hit, ya? Its nothing like what I feel when i smoke a cig, might have to dive into trying juices more quickly than i imagined.

Seems like I've read great things about phoenix clearomizers, likely what I'll pick up when i get to filling my own juices.
