First Mod help

I've been off analogs since 12/9/2013 using an EVOD starter kit and love it. I've gotten a Protank 2 and smok ARO 2 tank for those juices that would crack the EVOD tanks. I get most of my juices from MBV at 80/20.

With my above setup, I've notice some juices provide better vapor than others and better flavor. I'm looking to get a MOD, but the ones I'm looking at seem to be similar and close to my price range. I would like some opinions on what you use or would recommend. I know a lot is subjective.

The ones I'm thinking about are:

Smok tech SID
Tesla
ITaste SVD
VAMO V5

Is it normal to want to upgrade a little over a month in?

It is very normal to want to upgrade :) consider it a one month vape-iversary present lol.

I would advise going to the APV forum and reading what the owners of all of the above devices have to say about them - you will find the good, the great, the bad and the ugly (if there is any) that way. You can also check youtube and watch reviews on each. Good reviewers show you everything about the device. See which one piques your fancy.

The device I own out of that list is an SVD - one thing to be wary of is the firing button issue. It may or may not have been resolved in more recent builds (Innokin is great like that) but I certainly notice my fire button giving up on life. I have retired it from every day use. It is wonderful overall and I rather enjoy it - but the button is an issue/prospective issue to be aware of.

Good luck on your adventure!

I'm using the SiD as of right now. I like the larger form of the regulated mods and the variables that you can adjust on the fly. SiD comes stock in the 18650 length, but you can get a shorty tube for the 18350 batteries to make it a little smaller. I am planning to grab that in the next few weeks to allow a slightly more pocket friendly length. If you have a B&M nearby, they should let you take a peek at what they have in stock, see how they feel in your hands since you will be using them all day. Hope it helps!

PS I went from an eGo 650 and clearo to the Protank 2 and SiD in about 2 weeks, so you're right on course to make this a hobby and a healthier (than smoking) habit. - :2c:

why not ProVari? little more expensive but you wouldn't regret it.

I've been to a B&M with the wife and think I'll get the Vamo for me and the SID in purple for her. Mine will probably be the V3 since they have it on sale and besides the removable top, it should do what I need. I'll also get her the shorty tube. I plan on getting us both a 18650 and 18350.

I would like a provari, but I can't afford it right now amd want to play with the variable wattage.

Im into my 4th week cig free. Being an HVAC technician and very snuggley with my ohms law and proper electricity respect. I went right for it and got a patriot, dingo, and waiting on an AL-1 genesis. I just didnt want my mouth in any chinese products. I noticed when I dropped my protank setup that the "stainless steel" drip tip was merley coated and underneath was a brass (not 464 lead free) metal.
