It is a step up from an ego but in my opinion it is a novelty mod - the mvp2 would be a much better 1st mod dollar wise -it will give you the ability to see the ohms if you start building coils - with the sigelei zmax 3 or 5 in the middle and the provari as best choice for quality and durability

also think of the possible difficulties that may arise if you ever want to fly anywhere with the coolfire 2 in your carry on

Just my opinion

Are you looking to Tinker or looking to just get a more powerful vape? Coming from someone that dove in headfirst it really is better to take it a step at a time. It can be overwhelming and i spend hours a day on here and youtube researching.

Just remember a Mod is an advanced device. And if you aren't comfortable with the basics it can be kinda like trying to learn how to walk and play soccer at the same time. If you are using an ego, have you considered getting a VV battery for it. EGO Twist or a Vision Spinner? It will give you an introduction into variable voltage vaping as well as give you a power bump from your current setup. I would avoid a mechanical mod until you get comfortable with battery safety and the basic operating range of your device.

I agree. If you really want the Coolfire 2, get it - but the fact that it lacks an informational display AND it only takes 18350's would make me rethink getting it as my "next step" after an Ego.

That's just me.

I'm using a Vision Spinner now, and I ordered a Vamo V5. From everything I read, it's one of the best beginner mods to learn on. I'm sure it won't last me a year, but in a month of 2 of having it, I'll have a better understanding of mods.

The V5 I ordered was 32$ from FastTech (no batteries or charger, but you can get good ones from Amazon like I did). FastTech is HORRIBLE for shipping, but they have amazing prices. So if you don't mind waiting a few weeks, I would jump on that. It has all the features any other mod has, but at a fraction of the price. It'll help you learn to use an APV, without breaking the bank.

you also might check out the innokin itast VV v3. It has many of the same features as the MVP2 in a smaller form. You sacrifice battery, and i think it may also adjust in larger increments but dont quote me on that last part. I still give my vote to the MVP2 but they are both great devices and i wasnt sure if you had seen it.

Will the b&m near you allow you to test out devices? If so, I would go in & do that! Sort of like trying on a pair of shoes before you buy them. Maybe buy a bottle of eJuice from them, if they let you test the devices & you end up ordering online for a better price. (makes me wonder if any b&m shops do price matching. I haven't been in one yet. I just hear how they have really friendly staff, for the most part)
