I ordered my first starter kit (KR808d-1) from Vapor Kings a few hours ago, and I had a few, last minute thoughts while ordering...

1) It seems to me that it should be an industry standard for all starter kits to come with one manual and one automatic battery... it stands to reason that someone who's new to vaping should probably try both. I looked at many different starter kits and they all wanted to sell me two automatics... and although Rob at Vapor Kings was excellent in accomodating my request, I still had to go through extra hoops to get one of each in my starter kit... so yah...

2) I don't know if this has happened to any of the rest of you... I wanted to get the black bats, but had last-minute, paranoiac visions of getting stopped all the time by the po po cuz it looks like I'm sucking on a rock-pipe while I'm driving... so I chickened out and ordered my bats in white!

3) And yes, I can see this turning into a monster... one day you're ordering your first e-cig, and the next day... you're computer table is littered with tiny bottles and bits of wicking... old bats rolling off the table and onto the floor... where the kitties bat at the bats...

The heretiK has Spoken!

You've just descried my desk exactly! I'm actually sitting here combining same flavor bottle to clear a little room.

I vape in my car pretty flamboyantly with black batts and haven't been stopped by the po po yet. Haven't even gotten any second looks. I wouldn't overly worry about that, unless you're in a high illegal drug smoking area?????

This industry is really too new (from what I can tell) to have very many standard operating procedures yet. I think the one manual, one auto batt thing is a good idea. Parts are cheap enough tho to order an extra. It's not like you won't use it or can't sell/trade it. Even though I still can't find the classified area....

Good luck to you in your vaping adventure, try lots of different liquids, and let us know how it goes.

Oh you just don't know the half of it!

oldtechno sent off (amazon.com) and got a $19.00 and some change--PLANO tackle box to put his in.

When you amass enough--you'll get organized to...I promise you.

As far as that 'crackpipe' comment is concern...everytime I used to turn around and look at mine I figured all I needed was a couple of test tubes and a bonson burner for the police to shoot me as they come through the door--I might not have blamed them!

Oh, I think I have seedy-looking hobbies going strong already... because I do chainmaille, I have become the Baggie King... I have various and sundry metal rings in bags in a tackle box AND in coffee cans... so I can relate...

But hey, without the paraphenalia, a hobby ain't so much a hobby as much as it is a complex series of nervous twitches, right?

Peace/Pieces,

Completely OT...

Do you make the chainmaille for the Ren Faire in Lancaster County? And do you sell it??? LOL :D And... there ain't nothing seedy about chainmail!

This (vaping) seems to be soo much more than a hobby.. it's a darn lifestyle... it's one of the few things that I don't feel guilty being a little OCD about. I truly hope you like vaping, I really am very excited about it, and I love reading the new member's forum to hear everyone's great stories.

This whole vaping thing is like being 5 years old on Christmas Eve.

No, I don't and yes, I do... strictly word-of-mouth, though... I have keychains, bracelets, necklaces and earrings that I make... I plan on getting a decent, digital cam soon so I can take me some pics... oh, and I'm always willing to barter, so make me an offer...

And tbh, if I like vaping next week (Thanksgiving at the 'rents house should be a good test), I will probably have another order in next week for a passthru and an Xhaler...

Layyyter!
