Hi all,

Like many of the new people seem to be here I have been a lurker on these forums for my ecig information since I have started, I am glad to finally be a member and would like to thank all the awesome people on here whose information and advice has helped me greatly.

I am now posting for a bit of advice. I am currently vaping on two Halo G6 auto batteries and a Kanger kr808D-M3 I purchased from health cabin (love that site) all using the M3 Kanger Clearomizers. I was quite content with this set up for quite some time now but am currently looking into an ego set-up.

I was wondering if I could get a suggestion on which ego battery is a good option for
  • Output
  • Battery life
  • Ease of use

I believe the tank option seems to be the way I am looking at going as the clearos are ok, I cannot stand cartos as I constantly feel i am wasting liquid in them. I don't know how certain I am on the whole vivi tanks though.

Any information on which is a good ego manual battery, what is involved in set-up for the 510/ ego models and any other information you believe could be benificial would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

The Twist. :D

WELCOME to ECF!

I am not up to date on eGo's, I don't use them, but did want to give you a welcome. I hope someone can come along soon enough to help you out.

As for the tanks, when you punch a hole in the carto and put it in the tank, it keeps it wet and they last a lot longer that way. I love my cartotanks, clearos cannot even compete with a good carto. Good luck finding a system that works well for YOU!

First post. New to vaping. Starting third day no smoking. Still working out kinks. I am currently going with a tank system without the wicks. I got the ones with holes in bottom of center piece that the juice feeds into. Sorry not up on my terminology yet. :)The wicking system is more user friendly but i found i would take two puffs then the next would taste burnt. I take big puffs.

With current delivery system i was initially sucking in too much air with my vape so i plugged one of the holes in bottom of system right below the tank and for about an hour now that has been treating me well.
I saw in another post someone used a wooden toothpick end to do it i used soap. My field expedient solution. It does job but i may regret it later when it gets sucked through and i taste vaporized soap. :)

Hope this helps a little. And im new so hopefully a more experienced user will have more input.

Hey and welcome! My ego-c 1300 will last almost 2 days without a charge. I started ilusing carto's last week when I got a j-tank I'm not really thrilled so far? I had to buy a connector for the j-tank to work with my ego-c battery I get a lot of air and haven't figured out what's up with it yet? I do have a vivi tank and the heads don't seem to last as long as the carto's. I never waste juice and if you prime it right you never get a burnt taste I did that to start with and after watching a YouTube vid on how to prime a carto I haven't had that issue :)

I can't recommend highly enough the eGo T 1000mAH. It lasts all day of heavy chiefing. I have two and have not had a single problem with either one. Also they are fairly cheap and are small enough to not feel like you are smoking on a flashlight or a piece of 3/4 inch electrical conduit!

I use the T3 Kangers - they are great. Very minor issues with those. Also with the eGo, if the liquid does leak, the battery doesn't care. It will fire right through the e-juice pool.

Welcome....and VAPE ON!!

Definitely a twist. 650mah is good for about a day, and you have larger options too. For ease of use in the tank department, mini vivi novas and kanger mt3 come to mind. The octopus is technically not a tank but easier use than those IMO and no problems with consistency since the replaceable part is not complex or mass produced. The octopus requires that you drip 5 to 10 drops every 20 minutes to hour depending on your usage, so tanks win in that department for ease if use, if occasional dripping is a problem, but overall maintenance is more involved with tanks.

Hello!

I've been vaping one month today.

I use vapor4life Dial-A-Volt XL (1300mah & similar to a twist I think) with a 6ml tank. This setup uses KR808D-1 carto's.

I'm absolutely loving the vapor this thing produces and only killed the battery once...started vaping it at 6:30am and went through the whole day then immediately into an evening of adult beverages until it gave up on me at 11:00pm. Used that as the signal to go home :)

I'm going to parrot the Twist. Another good choice would be the Vision Spinner. Have you tried cartomizer tanks? I rather like my DCT tank with single coil carto's. I think it has better flavor than a Vivi. I haven't tried the Kranger, but several people like them. I may try a bottom coil in the future to see what people like about them.

I use the DCT tank U-DCTank Tube 6ml - Chrome You can choose your own drip tip, and of course the carto's. I use these carto's
Single Coil 510 DCTank Cartomizer - 5 Pack in 3Ω. Everyone has their own opinion, but I have good luck with this set up. It doesn't hurt to have a filler like this Smoktech DCT Refill Funnel

Thanks for all the absolute suggestions, looks like the 1000 mah twist is the way I'm gonna go, just have to wait for them to re-stock them.

Can someone explain to me a bit about the carto tanks, I've seen them they just seem a little pricey. But if someone can prove they're worth the price I'd more than likely buy them.

I started with a V2 cig-a-like and still use it on occasion, then I upgraded to a Ego C twist. Love the battery but didn't care for the tank/atomizer set up that came with it so I bought a Mini Vivi Nova and some Boge cartomizers, can't say enough good things about either. I did just order a new 1000 MaH battery, I'm a heavy vaper when at home and the 650 just wasn't making it all day on the weekends. So I'd say the 1000 twist is a good way to go.

Delivery systems are very much a case of personal preference, I really like clearos for home and cartomizers for on the go, but you may have to try a couple different styles or brands to find what your looking for in an all day vape, just like with flavors. Silly me I thought vaping was gonna save me money, maybe once I find my perfect vape and only have to buy juice things will change, but buying new toys is fun, so maybe not.

As for Carto tanks, stripped down to it's basics your just vaping through a cartomizer, you punch a couple holes in the bottom and slide it in a tank which keeps it filled and ready to go much longer. No fiddling with wicks or atomziers, when it gets burnt and used up just pop out the cartomizer and slap in a new one. I am in no way knocking this setup, and may very well try it myself in the near future, but if your a carto hater it may not be for you.

Good luck to ya, and happy vaping.

Thanks everyone for the help, I think I have finally decided on the set up I'm going for. For the time being I will be getting the vision spinner (purely because health cabin is out of the twists plus the extra 300 mah doesn't hurt) with a bundle of 3.5ml dcts. Seems to fit the bill and hopefully resolves a few issues I have with cartomizers lol.
