Thanks to all for the warm welcome.
Great job so far! Welcome to ECF! Ya know, it's funny how all of our desks look like "labs" now.
I know, it's almost embarrassing when my wife walks by. Luckily it's in the basement so that is fairly rare, but I still get eye rolls. Anyways, I want to see more labs! Is there a well-known thread of such pics?
Wow the difference between the Grand with an hh357 and a Ego-T must have blown you away. I see a HH357 cloaked REO mini for travel in your future.
That IS a mini with an HH357! (Which, btw, is actually almost too hot for me.) But really, when I first fired up the REO (with 1.5/2.0 306 Cisco atties) what stood out was the flavor. The Ego-T was a GREAT starter ecig but tastes like cardboard in comparison to the REO. Obviously the vapor production is better also, but the cool part was going back through all those old bottles of juice and discovering what they ACTUALLY taste like. That includes discovering that several flavors that I initially tossed aside as "meh" were actually quite decent with the right equipment.

Lately I've been using cartos more than atomizers but I'm trying to learn since I like the flavor and non-disposability of the atomizers so much better, plus the issue with burning carto filler is somewhat unsettling. The problem is that I flood atomizers too often when squonking/blind squonking. I can drip without issues, but that kills half of the purpose of having a REO... I just need more practice, I guess.

I'll be darned, a fellow REOnaut AND in Louisville, too? Just two more posts and you can join us in the REO forum.
Yes, hi! Nice to meet you! (I feel like a stalker since I've seen your posts for quite awhile now, but with 11,700 of them, I guess you can expect that kind of thing!)

Also, no offense to anybody, but I must declare that the REOnaut label is among the dumbest memes on the REO forums. :) (Don't get me wrong, Rob makes an amazing product but I'm not quite ready to worship him as a deity or classify myself as a follower of the REO religion!) I am, however, grateful that he doesn't charge more because I would probably pay it.

Grand vs Mini, really same vape for the beginning 30 minutes with 3.7 batteries. Grand just sustains nirvana longer.

hh357 is a different squonking technique than 306s, but they don't leak as much (hardly at all) into the catch cup even when flooded and to me vape much more consistently. I am just trying a HH357 2.0 for some of my sweeter or more VG flavors and BWB Malties. I think my (3 used in rotation so far) 1.5 hh357 are a bit hotter than Cisco (Joye,Bauway, etc too) 1.5 306s. The 2.0 is perfect for flavors that have a tendency to burn. Still hot flavorful vapor with no splattering or caramelizing. I wish they weren't so pricey, but I do appreciate and cherish them more for their handmade perfect vape.

Ego-Ts have their place for on the go, looking more conventional. Jessh though I bet it's hard to go back to them.

Hmm, I always thought of a REOnaut as more like an astronaut. Someone who studies and uses/owns a REO.

Good point on the charge, they certainly are worth every penny--so simple, elegant design, and nothing on them breaks that can't be fixed easily. I haven't found a PV that is so easy to use and maintain.

I think "REOnaut" was coined by the first REO owner, and it has stuck. No religion, just fans. He makes a terrific mod, and treats his customers the best. :)

Yeah, I talk a lot

Appreciate the comments; I think you're right, because mine are 1.5 and my juices are mostly sweeter/fruity/light. I think I need to try a higher resistence version (and the splattering can definitely be a pain in the rear.)

I can't go back to them, but they are useful in a pinch for two key reasons: one, they don't HISSSSSS like a REO going to work does, and two, I can usually hold the vapor long enough to exhale it more or less invisibly. This means I can sneak puffs without getting up from my desk at work! I don't know that anybody would care about the REO, nor do I know the overall e-cigarette policy in my building, but... I don't want to find out. Easier to ask forgiveness than permission.

(Although, it would be amusing if somebody saw me and asked me to stop vaping... "uhm, it didn't seem to bother you every single OTHER day I've worked here...")
