First PV is on the way...

Not sure if this is customary, but I thought I'd say a few words to get myself started. I smoked casually(on the weekend only, social situations, etc...) for about 3 years. I've been smoking a pack every 2-3 days for about a year. Let me just say that I love smoking...I love the taste, the burn in the back of my throat, the headrush, the people I meet through smoking, going outside at 3 in the morning in freezing weather...I pretty much love everything, and I suppose smoking has become apart of me. I can't imagine NOT smoking, even if I wanted to quit. But, I'd like to be healthy in the future, and while the effects of smoking aren't serious or apparent to me yet, I'm sure one of these days it's going to catch up with me.

That said, my first PV is on the way. I received the shipping notice from Puresmoker yesterday, and I can't wait for my Protege to get here! Not the most recommended choice for a beginner, but I really like the look of the mods, and I didn't want a PV that resembled a cigarette.

So I bought the Protege full kit(with 901 adapter), along with 30ml of 16 mg Menthol Ice from PS, a couple of atomizers, 10ml of 16mg Mango Madness from ECigSupply, and 3ml of 24mg each of Kona Coffee Chocolate, Watermelon Menthol, Marlboro Menthol, Melon Mint, Redbull, and Ruyan #4 from StrictlyEJuice. I'm probably going to end up buying more juice in there near future! There are so many flavors out there.

Anyways, you'll probably see me lurking around for the next few days until my Protege arrives!

I have been smoking a pack a day for more than 35 years.

I have also quit smoking during that time period several times so I know what to expect when quitting tobacco.

I have an addictive personality and always went back to smoking.

When I started vaping I just didn't smoke anymore (eCigs are a perfect alternative for me).

But, this forum is not about how fast you stop smoking tobacco, it is a support forum for people wanting a safe alternative to smoking.

I've always found it amazing how people who have been smoking for decades find quitting effortless with e-cigs.

I've always found it amazing how people who have been smoking for decades find quitting effortless with e-cigs.

It is amazing how well e-cigs work for quitting smoking.

I smoked 2 packs a day, 36 years, never thoght I would quit and bought my first e-cig not for intention to quit but for something to cut down my smoking while at the computer.

After a week I had cut down so much I wanted to see if I really could quit.
Its been 6 weeks for me now analog free, not having cravings for analogs or anything. Sometimes I reach for my pack of smokes or lighter tho only to find my e-cig and it seems weird with no ashtrays around.
