I'm going to rabbit trail from your question for a moment to, in theory, give a better answer ( or at least my opinion). A mini pro tank, in my experience, provides very little throat hit. For me when a mini pt or similar tank seems harsh poor air flow tends to be the culprit. I'm not sure how long you've been vaping so it could be your nic strength is a little high. Most people first starting get higher nic than they usually want/ need. Anything you can rebuild will tend to hit harder than a factory coil and most people drop their nic when they begin rebuilding. If you are looking for a tank concept the kayfun type tanks are widely liked for good reason but can be a bit pricy even for the clones. I know fast tech (last I saw) had some much cheaper, but I dislike fast tech and NEVER recommend them based on my poor experience. IGO makes a variety of RBA that can be found for around 20. I learned with a smok tech octopus. Its only got two posts but focus on building one solid coil before trying 2. The oct was 12 at a B&M near me and the material is very easy to drill out because the stock air hole was lacking as most are. If you have a shop near you I'd recommend looking at them and seeing how easily the cap comes off the RBA. You will frequently be removing that cap for various reasons and one that comes off easily, but not too easily is very nice. Hope that helps some.
