So, I have been vaping like mad since my KR808-d1 arrived on Thursday. (Pass through is such an awsome idea, kudos to whoever invented/designed that!) Since then I have filled/topped off my V4L wow carts (1 blank and 5 sampler prefilled). Today I decided to go on an adventure since my wife is out of town and so are a number of friends and I had the day all to myself.

After a lot of reading and one attempt, I do not think I will be using the condom refill method. I also used the drip method and found I am just not coordinated enough to make it work. So... syringe method. I am comfortable around syringes so I thought what the hey, why not (and no, I don't think practice will work, I am that bad: note later in this post my problems seeing slush). Problem was that I live in Illinois and non of the Pharmacies had needles or syringes without a perscription. So I did some searching on the ECF and found a suggesion to go to Tractor Supply or Farm and Fleet (this forum is so great!). It took some searching at TSC, but there in "animal health" were 18 guage beveled needles (20) and 6 syringes (got it all for under $9 US). Kinda laughed as it was really for me not a horse (trust me I used to eat like one), and I have never been called an animal before (at least not to my face), but I am of the opinion that vaping is better for my health so thats batting 500 right? So great tip for those who live in states that require perscriptions for needles at pharmacies, try a Tractor Supply or Farm and Fleet, although that might be tough in dowtown NY or Philly, not sure.

So, I was really surprised how easy it was, although I still made a mess (but this is pratice-able). I am having trouble determining really how much to put in the cartos (again V4L wows). Many have mentioned the "slushy" look and i just dont see it, well until the carto is overfilled. Does anyone who syringe fills have any reccomendations? Maybe just put in .75 ml and leave it at that regardless of how it looks? Thanks everyone!

I don't know how much the V4L carts hold so I can't tell you how much to refill, but I can describe slushy. You know what it looks like when the top is wet, and when it is dry you can see individual strands of the batting. Slushy is when you can see that it is wet but a few individual strands of the batting show on top of the wetness. Do not drip too fast when the cart is getting g full just go one drop at a time and wait for it to be absorbed. When your last drop still looks wet but does sink down in a little bit to show the individual strands stop.

Same appearance applies to syringe filling.
