I'm a beginner and I started out with 28 gauge Kanthal and 3MM Silica Wick.

However, at my vape store the owner built my first dual coil setup for me, then he made me build one in front of him, to make sure I was doing it correctly.

He also took the time to explain the different batteries and dangers of using the wrong setup.

But most people I know start out w/ 28-30 gauge Kanthal - it's pretty easy.... Cotton Wick is something I want to try, but Silica is perfect for n00bs like myself.

Good luck on your vaping adventures!
(get a multimeter for your battery to make sure it's good to use each time before popping it into your mod)

New here too, been using my RSST for about a month. LOVE IT! The RSST is great for begginers because of the tank design and insulated wick hole. No need to oxidize the wick, just a quick torch to burn off impurities and machine oils.

I'm using the RSST with 500 ss mesh and a 3/2 wrap of 28g Kanthal for a resistance of .8 ohms. I normally run my magneto mod in 18350 mode when out of the house and 18650 at home. Nice flavor, throat hit, and clouds. Hope this helps!
