Located in the UK, and looking to start using a 0mg e-cigarette. Any advice on where to start?

Been smoking for over 10 years, but always to the habit rather than the nicotine; participating in more sport and know that there is way too much ikky stuff in my lungs that I'd prefer not to keep topping up with analogs. Had a very old njoy e-cig a long time ago given to me by an American friend, but they don't seem to do cartridges for it any more.

So, any advice on beginner starter kits/build your own, which has 0mg available? Preferably available in the UK, and any comments on catridge vs. liquid would be appreciated...

I would go with an ego setup and either a pro tank or a cartomizer setup. Order juices you like. You may start with some 12 which is about the same hit as a light cig for the throat hit, but there are other ways to simulate that…I use method and have also heard of people who use pepper extract. I would not try the 0 MG disposables, though they are around. The odds are you will be very old stock and the flavors are generally a serious cut below. Besides you can get a cheap setup now for around the two times what you would pay for a single disposable.

So what exactly is an eGo? I have seen it mentioned many times over this site, and loads of stores sell different parts all with this term in the titles. So, is it a brand or part of a set up?

Sorry for being so ignorant, I am finding it difficult finding out the basic information about the components that go into a e-cigarette, differences between e-liquid and cartridges and which starter kits are reliable for a first-timer that are available in the UK

eGo is a style of battery, basically the size of a highlighter. They are horribly common and you can order them almost anywhere. The battery itself is just a cylinder with a button on it. The threading is usually 510/eGo which is pretty common as well.

I don't know why you specifically want 0mg if you smoked with any consistency. I am not saying this is a wrong choice for you, you know yourself better than anyone here

ego was originally designed by joyetech, it was very popular and many companies adopted the style and sort of kept the name ego but you may also find varies names attached to the design. If you are looking for something that will last you then I would suggest finding a ego kit that you think you will like. everyone is different so there isn't a one size fits all setup, it ranges from the standard ego, twist, spinners, evod kits, all which are ego style(which will be about the size of sharpie). Then there is the itaste vv which is nicely designed and gaining popularity. Expect to pay around 30-50 depending on the kit you pick up and get extra of the heating elements whether its cartomizers or heads as they are cheap and will last most 2-4 weeks tops.

I think I am lucky in the respect that I have never become addicted to the nicotine - I suffer no withdrawal if I stop smoking for a week (though this rarely happens), but I struggle kicking the habit completely, as anyone who knows trains in the UK will know there's a lot of hanging around stations with very little to do. Generally average around 10 a day and a lot more when out with people as most of my friends also smoke.

Thanks for the advice though - I think I'm finally getting a grasp on all the components. There is another thread going at the moment which is explaining a few of them to beginners, and I don't want to waste people's time making a second thread of identical content!
