So I've had my first few hits with my new DSE 901. It took me a few hits to get the vapor going, but so far so good.

Today's my Saturday so I've got to go run some errands. Now I did get a really sexy case with it, but it's not a PCC. I'll only be gone a couple of hours or so, but I'm not sure what would be the best way to go.

Since I'd have to take it apart to put it in the case, is it safe to just pop the unit in my pocket? Or is it really crucial that I keep it in the case? And if I top off a couple of drops before I go, would I be correct to assume that should handle the next couple of hours?

Last one (for now): Is there such thing as a nicotine headache? I'm playing with figuring out the right draw and vapor and not sure if I'm overdoing. Or maybe overthinking.

The straw mod (see cart mod forum) will take care of your problems getting vaping started and more consistent for your DSE901.

However, your headaches may indicate that you need a different ecig than the DSE901, which I consider to produce "dense" vapor vs. other ecigs. For more explanation, look here:

I've only been vaping four days, but I definitely think it's possible to get a nicotine headache. I had my first experience with this yesterday while vaping and chatting on the phone with an old friend. After about 30 minutes, I got a terrible terrible headache. I realized at this point that I had been subconsciously vaping every minute or so while I was on the phone...whereas my normal usage any other time has been to take 2-3 hits every 10 to 15 minutes. The headache went away after about 30 minutes (I chugged a bunch of water and didn't vape during that time) and hasn't been back since.

I'm also using the pocket method.

1 complete "user" unit in one pocket (usually my shirt or inside jacket pocket).

I carry a spare atty, two spare cells and a 5ml bottle of juice in another all in a litle zip-lock bag in another pocket.

I should really get a PCC, but so far, I am doing ok as I am (I'm hoping for a 510 PCC that is more like a 20 box and holds a bit more gear to be honest).

Great advice, as usual. Thank you.

I ended up not using my PV and smoking one of my last cigarettes in the car. Didn't enjoy it at all. I have two left in the pack and am feeling pretty confident that I'll be mentally ready to drop the analogs by the time those are gone.

And thanks, krowten. I only have my starter bottle so I'll just ease up for now.
