New Vaper,

Just ordered my 510 kit, Automatic, I know what you are all going to say, but I will quickly learn if the auto battery was a mistake.

Got 10 blanks, round mouthpiece, once again I have already been warned about them, I don't think it will be much of a problem. I'm fairly sure my kit comes with the other model mouth pieces pre-filled, so I can always reuse them if they turn out to be much better.

Got 30ml No Nic of clove juice, and 10ml 10mg Nic of Menthol. Former Djarum black smoker, I doubt I'll get the same taste but its worth trying.

Didn't get the PCC or passthrough because I'm on a serious budget for awhile.

My main reason for getting an E-Cigarette is because my wife hates it when I smoke, to the point of me being unable to have cigarettes, even unlit, in the house. I had to hide(poorly) that I smoke when I go out. She doesn't want me smoking the Nicotine juice either, but shes at least willing to let me try it to see if I can get along without it.

I enjoy smoking. I enjoy the high from nicotine. I smoke half a pack each Saturday tops, meaning when I pick up my cigarette on the next Saturday, all Nicotine is out of my body, the physical addiction is gone. Its not the addition driving me at this point, its honest enjoyment. I've gone 3-6 months no problem, I just don't like to.

Hopefully the 510s will arrive by Monday.

Thanks for all the great information it was very helpful to have this site as a resource.

Welcome to the forum & congrats on the purchase! :)

I've never used an auto battery on a 510, but have used them on different models. It sounds like you have done some reading around here so I am not going to rehash all the same old stuff that you undoubtedly already know about the auto batteries.

The best advice I can give you (auto and even manual batteries) is just try not to overfill your carts, and even with prefilled carts, take several puffs before you set it down for a while (and don't top off or put a new cart on then just set it down and go to bed).

This should help prevent excess ejuice from potentially getting past the atty and into the battery, which is where the bigger problems usually begin with autos.

While mine are all manual, I speak from experience with leakage between the atty & battery which is why I suggested the above. Fortunately there was no damage to my manual batteries, but it still made quite a mess.

Manual batteries really aren't that bad and you get used to them really quick. If for any reason you find yourself not liking the autos, don't hesitate to get the manuals. :)
