The point is still the same. It's the B&Ms that are selling it at that price. I can assure you that the B&Ms are NOT paying that for the juice. The MSRP is merely a recommendation. Us online folks won't be able to get it at all so that should be of some comfort.

I love a good brandy. I was given a cognac (Kelt) one year on New Years Eve. I loved it! When I went to buy a bottle, I found out how expensive it was and exactly why it was so expensive. What I loved about it was a slight salty flavor left in the back of my throat. I guess you really need to like something in order to pay a higher price to enjoy it. -Just my opinion-

please don't compare fine spirits with e-juice
it's a completely different ballgame

I think e-juice is limited... after almost 4 years of vaping and trying so many different vendors and juices, I've had, great, good, bad and ugly...

I have never had any juice so good that I'd stand in line for an hour to get it...

Price is relative... If there was a liquid out there that tasted out of this world to me and performed amazingly... I might... I just might...

Once in a while I go out for a really expensive meal - buy the collector's edition LP or video game etc...

...but I just don't believe that any e-liquid could break the barrier... Ahlusion, Halo, GEJ, BWB came pretty close on a couple flavors for me and they are still under $20

the only liquid I have walked away from because of price was aroma's p-38 with wta... love it - but once in a while...

another thing...

aged... aged in oak barrels... aged, cured, steeped, etc...

man, does that actually improve e-liquid... for some maybe... but I like my milk, break and e-juice fresh.

no, you're not stupid if you buy it - smoking was more stupid...

just enjoy it... tell yourself its remy martin

I just want 5 Pawns to show me that they are doing something more creative and fantastic behind the scenes... so far, they have created some unique flavors... described them well.. have a great website and awesome packaging... the liquids are good!

...but please tell me that you're not squirting the same flavorings in the same nic and base that everyone else is for that price - then I would be much more inclined to buy... and I wouldn't be sooooo suspicious.

Here's the genius of five pawns. The one and ONLY thing that is spectacular about them.

These guys create a handful of above average juice and slap a huge pricetag on it.

Those who haven't been around the block try it and its soooo much better than the average stuff from say, MtB.... and they talk about it all the time. Brag about their expensive status symbol juice.

Those who have been around the block are outraged by the price vow to never ever buy it... and they talk about it all the time. Adding to the buzz, the mystique, etc etc. Fueling the fire of the fanboys who fire back etc etc etc. And a big flame war encites... This thread is an example.

Whether you love it or hate it... You're talking about it. THAT'S their hook.

Because even their worse opposition is giving them free marketing. Either you are smoking it or selling it. Either way five pawns wins.

And he says straight out he's a marketing guy... Not a flavor chemist. Who needs one of those when you have tricks like that up your sleeve?

Even the name of the company eludes to this.

People that are willing to pay for it are dumb. The markup on juice is already ridiculous. Sorry. Dumb.

lol why is it dumb if you can afford 40 bucks for juice? I still havent heard this yet. If you're living check to check and dont have it to spend on unnecessary things then yes, spending that much money when you can get MBV or something for 7 bucks, would be a misuse of your funds...but if you go shopping every week, you can pay all your bills comfortably, you have a normal amount of expendable income, hang out and vacay how you want, WHY is this dumb. If you feel its a rip off, JUST DONT BUY IT. Get you some MBV to vape on, let others who can afford "rip off juice" enjoy thiers, and calm down lol

Problem is everyone has a different perception on "value". Some people buy solely on price and believe that what the eliquid lacks in quality/flavor/packaging is made up for by price. I have three flavors from 5 Pawn and find them the most intense flavors ever bought - to the point I cut most of them with MBV flavors since I only drip them (which lowers to cost per mL). I typically only vape their flavors after a meal but never will they be an ADV due to the intense/rich characteristics of their product.

Their presentation is spot on, their flavors are like no other from a quality and flavor perspective so I am willing to spend my money on them.

Are they for a budget vapor, no.

Will I try the new flavor, yes.

I've tried them and liked them. I could see them being a good Christmas or Birthday present. I've said it before: vendors should price their goods so that they have enough business to satisfy themselves (be it a thousand orders a day or a hundred), and charge however much it's worth it to them to stay in business.

Aside from that, I'll be interested to see if the sample pack will change. And wasn't another flavor supposed to come out this summer aside from this one?

Exactly .. there is room in the liquid market for higher end players .. just like there is room for expensive mods, custom tanks, etc .. we don't all drive a 2001 Focus and live off Mac & Cheese and a Big Gulp .. no disrespect to those that do .. ;)

Pfff @ian74 why am I dumb because I can afford premium juice? This price is only rediculous to those too broke to buy it. If you can't afford it there's no need to insult those of us who can... I'll pay good money for good eliquid that a special amount of care was put into. If I wanted 15 dollar liquid I'd buy that swill. I want quality. Its still less expensive than smokes.

IMO, all e-liquid is a rip off, so i seldom buy it. I will say in five pawns defense, that bourbon barrels are expensive.

Things i have learned by reading this thread:
-All juice vendors should be compared to MBV
-E-juice is not liquor
-People still use the evic
-high end players do not eat mac-and-cheese nor do they partake of Big Gulps.

Now, now .. we do eat Mac & Cheese, it's just made with Moose Milk ..

The World’s Most Expensive Cheese: $500/lb – And It’s Not Even French! | Blogcritics

And our Big Gulps are dispensed from a Golden Tap, with Perrier Ice Cubes .. into the Limited Edition 44 Ouncer .. ;)
