Fix for SmokTECH Dual Coil Tank slidy issue...?

Just got the SmokTech DCT. I don't like the tank sliding around so easily...

Has anyone tried replacing the inner O-rings to make the fit tighter? maybe with inner O-rings for the J-tanks or Big Daddy tanks?

That's the reason I like the tanks that have the thumb screw. Prevents them from sliding around and makes filling easy.

I use grommet style tanks, they fit snug and don't slide around at all. Wouldn't all that sliding around allow air leaks? I know that while I'm vaping, if I see air bubbles coming from anywhere other than the punched carto hole, the carto will flood.

I have 3 smoktech DC tanks. All of them are slidy, but it's not that bad, and fortunately don't leak at all. I actually prefer them over my liquinator. That one is a major pain to fill/change cartos, because the inner seals are TOO tight. The DCT carto just slips down, fill the tank, and slip it back up through the top seal. I literally have to fight my liquinator to get the carto back through - I've tried slipping the carto out from both ends and it's still a pain either way.

I just wish boge would make flanged preslotted cartos at the correct length for the DCT. That would be heaven.

Thanks for the responses... it is easy to fill because the tank is slidy, but i like to keep my pv in my pocket - it just makes me nervous cause the drip tip is the only thing really holding the tank on the carto...

I'll try the J-Tank and BDV inner o-rings and see if they'll make the fit tighter.

BTW, the flange on the smoktech cartos are making the battery connection a bit shorter than my boges... i'm finding I have to pull posts on my eGo before i put the smoktech tanks on. anyone else having this issue?

I've had that happen. It's just at the threshold of the connection...way too close for comfort. The resurrector (smoktech unflanged 1.7 carto) will work on an ego when one of my flanged ones won't. All boges work on my ego's. So I know it's the flange getting in the way. It also screws up the connection into my vv box mod. It's definately the most annoying part of the flanged design....the flange itself!!!!lol

I use my flanged cartos on a passthrough, and they seem to always make a connection there (I'm using an 808 to 510 adapter with an 808 passthrough). I guess the adaptor is threaded more shallow so the flanged cartos alway connect before the flange gets in the way.
