Hey dems, guess you got the mesh wicks working! It's really not that sensitive. I've used several different mesh straws and even rolled up aluminum foil before getting some mesh. Never had any flooding or dry hits. I finally settled on some fine mesh 350 and 400 grade. Coarser mesh worked but I kept pricking my fingers when I rolled it.

Roxy, I have a good build for you. 26g Kanthal over a 2.5 mm bit, 6 wraps and 0.6 ohms. If you don't have your drill bits yet, a Q-tip shaft is about 2.5 mm.
That should give you the throat hit you like. I just finished this build. A little harsh for me, so I'll be adding another turn next time.

I think you'll like this Flashi. Very quiet. In fact, you'll think it's not firing when you first use it. As you noted, the FEV is an ugly, utilitarian, no nonsense device that won't win any artistic design awards. But it vapes great and will last forever.

Oh, the coils aren't a problem, but thanks for that build because they're going on mechs :). I didn't have a 1.2mm anything to wrap the mesh straws. I had 1mm and 1.5mm but not 1.2mm.

Yeah, they've been working fine, even through a juice change. i think I need to cut them a tad shorted, but I'll roll up new ones and recut, these are going to be my crutches, lol

Speaking of provoking your finger, I pulled a mesh splinter out of the side of my index finger this morning, lol. That sucker hurt coming out too.

1mm will work. A wise Sedgetonian once told me, "it's not an exact science"!!!

Kinda wish Arthur would come up a v4 with option for a nanokit.
V3 works better than my Lemo Drop, but I still think those posts are taking up some space that could be rid off.

There is a nano type kit now. I got the short air shaft and you use it with just the tank extension only, viola..nano FeV

When I switch juices and rewick after work I'll put it on and take a pic.

BTW Jax, like I said, holy TH Batman. This thing is just awesome though. Once you get those feeders working, what a vape!!! Great flavor, thick vapor, TH of course, and its a damn tank!!!

I'll build them today whether I have the drill bits or not. I did have 10 yesterday that needed rewicked!

I did find one clonish aspect to the v3...the drip tip opening is a little too big. Its not the drip tip because even my high end ones from Molehill Mountain and Driptipdesinz are moving around. Going to try a thicker o ring because that's going to bug me. The vs is better.

I've inspected my new clones, and they are bathing. Everything fits together well, threads are nice, and I don't see any problems. O rings all seem to fit as they should. They each have 3 airscrews.

roxy, Did you get the 17mm? I'm really interested in hearing feedback on that one. I love the V3 and have been eye balling the smaller version.

Yes, I got both. It was so weird because I wanted both, but can't afford them at this time. Then a friend here PMed me that she had both clones, and did I want them? Yes, I did as I can't afford the authentics right now :)

Soo hopefully the clones will help me narrow down which authentic I want. Money will be tight for the next few months.

I did manage the vs, too. It looks dumb as heck on a 22mm mod [emoji23]

They both give a strong vape with a lot of throat hit. I built the vs to a bit higher resistance, but it seems like its hitting harder.
It's that much smaller chamber and shorter chimney I bet. Even with a higher build it hits like a freight train, choo choo

Yeah I mentioned it before...but it requires mesh to be rolled and slid in the air tube or screw hole.

Really the vs is only smaller diameter, its nearly the same length as the full size FEV... Well the vs is lighter too, some will like that.

Jax..
Once again, your killing my hopes of trying another Atty. I'm a TH hound so I love the throat hit. And your responses just tell me stay on track, it doesn't get much better for a tank... I always say it hits like a dripper but with a big tank.

Its been an underated Atty for sure.
