I've tried some of the Purillium blends, and a couple of Vape Wild's. I haven't come to decision on Purillium yet. None of them have Grabbed and Shook me into ADV'ness. A couple of the ones I have are rough around the edges to say the least. I wouldn't buy Vape Wild's again, not because they're bad but because they're very rudimentary. I've been there before, and could easily make them on my own, better.

But that's my opinion only. I didn't get into DIY to circumvent Impending Regulatory Doom, I got into it because I wanted way more options and flexibility with what I vape than just buying a bottle of "product" and settling for whatever it turned out to be. Rather than try to fix (what I perceive as) flaws in a blend, it's easier to just start with a clean slate and do what I want.

That said, I think they're important to the growth of DIY, and I think they fill a very much in demand segment for quick and easy homemade liquid. I predict that in 2 years pre-made juice as we know it today will be gone altogether, and blends will be dominant in that market.

I'll bet you're right. I made a similar suggestion more than 2 years ago, though it was in the context of out-of-stock complaints from sub-ohm vapers, who lamented that high-nic juices were crowding out their preferred 3mg flavors at vape shops. I had thought it would be the vape shops mixing premium blend concentrates to the customer's spec (like they do with house juice), but the deeming has changed everything since then.

While I'm glad to see this model emerging for DIY, I still hope the regulations get smacked back, for the sake of new quitters and the local vape businesses that can serve them well.

BACK ON TOPIC: I'll be looking forward to your reviews, @chanelvaps. :)

I do like the new one-shot options. I have several that I really love, but this doesn't keep me from mixing up other stuff. For example, I've mixed up a ton of my own cream mint vapes over the years, for better or worse, but now I've found a one-shot that dependably creates a great mix that took me 9 or 10 different concentrates to make*, so I have my beloved fave standby that only takes a minute or so to make, and I can play around with other recipes while knowing I have my yummy Buttermint always ready to go.

I have three or four one-shot mixes like this so far that are in my always-rotation, and I'll keep checking out more, while always continuing to make my own mixes and trying recipes from other people. I like that for some of my faves, I'm not always using up my most used individual flavors just to keep my regular stash filled.

* not an exaggeration! Here's the recipe I like for Buttermint (created by kindground):

1% Bavarian Cream (TPA)
1% Cotton Candy (10% EM/Ethyl Maltol) (TPA)
1% Marshmallow (TPA)
0.5% Meringue (FA)
5% Mint Candy (TPA)
0.75% Sweetener
1% Toasted Marshmallow (TPA)
1% Torrone (FA)
3% Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (CAP)
3% Vanilla Swirl (TPA)

Here's the one-shot that I like as much (UK site). Seven of the ingredients in kindground's full recipe are flavors that I find called for all the time in various mixes, and so can be difficult to stay stocked up on, plus it takes a while to make, so I like to have this speedy little wonder on hand.

My feeling is the more the merrier. I'm a big flavor chaser, so I buy pre-made, I create my own, I use recipes from other people, and I use one-shots. It's all fun, multiplied!

Great idea for a very useful thread @chanelvaps!

I have recently tried a few of the flavor blends purchased from OSDIY.

Chef's Flavors Nice Custard Cream: Mixed @ 22% (Recommendation is 20-30%.) I found this to be a more of a cream than custard when tasted fresh. After a one week steep, I noticed the biscuit on exhale but still, mostly cream. This is not a bad thing, just sharing my opinion on the initial flavor. It is a really creamy, cream that I plan to work into a creamy caramel cappuccino mix that is driving me crazy while trying to perfect.

Chef's Flavors The Donut King: Mixed @ 20% as per the recommendation. I found this flavor to have the far too familiar donut "PlayDoh" aftertaste when vaped fresh. After one week, the aftertaste subsided however, I felt it needed a little something else to round out the bakery donut component. The frosting and custard filling began to come to life at the two week mark. I decided to mix the following recipe using Donut King as the main base flavoring for a Strawberry Cream Cronut. I'm pretty happy with this mix fresh, and I will try it again this weekend at the one week mark. The FA WoW was a very good compliment to "settle" the Donut King PlayDoh aftertaste and also a perfect start to the fruit filling that I was chasing.

Strawberry Cream Cronut
Donut King (CF) 8%
Wow (FA) 4%
Red Touch (Strawberry) (FA) 3%
Shisha Strawberry (INA) 1%
Dragonfruit (TFA) 1%
Bavarian Cream (TFA) 1.5%
Meringue (FA) 0.75%

One Stop Blends Lucky Shot: Mixed @ 12%. Reviews for this flavor on the OSDIY website are extremely positive. The flavor blend profile is described as, " A complex flavor with heavy vanilla, caramel and graham cracker notes. Smooth and rich." I was very excited to try this flavoring based on the positive reviews, other research, and my personal quest to find a caramel flavor that I actually enjoy. Fresh, I was disappointed as my tastebuds told me I was vaping FA Caramel that just doesn't work for me. I didn't give up on the blend as I am well aware that flavorings can change with a week or two rest. I put the mix away and tried it again at the one week mark. Now, we are talking! The caramel settled down and began blending nicely with the graham cracker and vanilla. I liked it enough to use the blend in my developing creamy caramel cappuccino recipe. I am looking forward to vaping another tank of the solo Lucky Shot blend this weekend at the 2 week rest mark. This flavor is a keeper for me for both solo use and to work into other recipes that call for a caramel flavor note.

In the near future, I plan to purchase a few more flavor blends from Chef Flavors. They will most likely be the Welsh Custard and Frodoh. I will post my feedback after tasting the blends. If anyone out there has tried these flavorings, your feedback would be appreciated.

Happy mixing to all!

Note: All flavors were tested on the Aromamizer Supreme with 0.26 dual Nichrome coils between 28 and 35 watts.

I am just getting into DIY myself after lounging, purchasing 250+ flavors, more lounging, a bit of procrastination, another 50+ flavors etc you get the picture
In the last couple of months I have a perfected Pistachio RY4 (thanks Zak) that I am never without. I have also made maybe 30 more things.
I intend to keep pursuing DIY but I think it will take at least a year to get to any where near where I would want to be. Where I want to be is to not just copy a few recipes off the internet and mix them, but to learn what brings out what flavor, what to add here and there to get some punch.ETC.
In the meantime I will give some money to these new blends. Price works out well to get a perfected mix by a Chef ;)

Strawberry Cream Cronut sounds killer.

It's a work in progress but I do like how it is developing. I'm anxious to try it again this weekend with attention to the strawberry filling. I'm anticipating that the berry filling flavor may mute after the one week rest due to the creams and Donut King. Who knows though, it was pretty good fresh and maybe my concerns will prove to be wrong. None the less, I will make adjustments if necessary and sooner or later... That's the part of DIY that I really enjoy.

BTW, when it meets my approval, a sample will be coming your way.:)

I'm a lazy mixer. I have to be dragged to the scales to mix, but when I get there I do enjoy it. The blends or one shots would save a lot of time but you can make your own blends to fit your needs or flavor profile and get the same results.

The biggest issue I have with the one shots is using 20% or higher in a mix. What I would like to accomplish is to make a great juice at the lowest flavor percentage possible. Some of my favorite mixers have great recipes with an overall flavor percentage at 5-8%.

Agreed, but they seem to be very "light" in flavor and require the higher %'s to achieve the desired end result.

I really like several of the OSDIY One Stop Flavors and One Stop Blends at a lower % than the 10% recommended and the even higher % used by some. For example, I like the Pink Lemonade at only 5-6%, while I have some friends who use it at 12-15%. Lucky Shot, for me, is great singly at only 7-8%, while a friend likes it best at 12%. Same with their Baked Cinnamon Roll.

Then there's the Lucky Shot + Lotta Latte mix, that I like with each at 6%, which makes IMO a really good mix I call Caramel Latte. Kimberly (OSDIY owner) has made and used hers at 10% each for 3+ years. Some other members on here use them at 8% each, and others use different % of each that equal 14% total.

I've discovered that it seems the higher the nic mg in the eliquid being made...the higher the flavor % it seems to take for some to really hit their "sweet spot" with it. Kimberly vapes 24mg, and uses 10% of each LS + LL. A friend and fellow ECF member vapes 18mg, and she uses 9% of each together. I vape at 7mg and use 6% of each together.

I have tried 2 of OSDIY's. I just didn't realize that RJ4 is considered a blend. I bought it because I'm a RY4 "collector" of sorts. Now offhandedly wondering, if this is considered a blend, would all RY4s be blends as well? I guess "blend" is defined as anything that's engineered to be used without addition of other flavors.

Anyway, I'd say RJ4 is comparatively "par" to other RY4s, but I don't vape it single flavor. I like it at 7% spiked with 3% NN Patchouli Vanilla. Like that, it's one of my preferred (though not favorite) RY4s after it sits around a month, but NN's BRY4 has it beat. I don't suppose that's a fair comparison though. I don't see 20% being necessary or recommended.

I also have the "Choco Yum Cake". Don't recall my %tages. Didn't really care for it. It's in my (growing) pile of "Chocolates that aren't Chocolate". Maybe @JCinFLA has some words of wisdom on what I can do with it.

I keep hearing "Lucky Shot" and keep thinking "Lucky Charms cereal". Now I see I'm mistaken. Ordered some of that, the Latte and "Licorice Torpedos". JCinFLA, you should get a discount for doing such a great job promoting OSDIY! :)

I wish I could help you, but the Choco Yum Cake isn't one I've even ordered yet. By the way, if you just recently ordered from OSDIY, I hope you used the discount code JFK to get the 15% discount that's in effect until March 13th.

About recommending OSDIY frequently - I don't get a discount for doing it, nor for any other vendor I recommend. So it's not because of any benefit to myself at all. :)
They're a small, family run business, and I like to pass the word about companies like that. Also, IMO they have great products, customer service, shipping times & care of packaging, and an ongoing discount for ECF members. Anytime I've called to ask questions about products or sales or when something may be back in stock or another mixture she's tried maybe...Kimberly has always been extremely nice and very helpful. We usually end up chatting for at least 1/2 an hour each time. So yeah, I don't hesitate to recommend them, and especially their OS Flavors and Blends, at all.

Got two of the blends via Vapemail. Spotted Dick and Fluffy Nuts (uggghhh the names) from Chefs Flavorings. Have the Lemon Coconut Cream Cake coming from the UK. Also want to try Ginger Rogers thanks to Tazzle the enabler!
I've used Chefs own blends since mid 2014 - and liked most of them. I remember the biscuits being around when I was small ...not sure what they were called then, but it seems Jacobs make them now and call them Mikado:

Spotted Dick is a steamed pudding with dried fruit, and something my mother used to make! Very nice too:

The Lemon Coconut Cream Cake has been a favourite since they first made it.
Ginger Rogers is good, but not something I use often (just personal taste).
Their Queen of Puddings is lovely if your kind of flavours.
Another I like is Strawberry Vapetto (They used to do a Mint Choc Vapetto - and all day favourite of mine)
I hear that the Tarte au Citron is excellent, but haven't made mine yet.

In fact, a lot of what they do is very good - again, all down to personal taste. I used to like their RY-4 a lot.

I have many favorites that I get from Chefs Flavours (Lemon Coconut Cream Cake, Buttermint, Ginger Rogers, Claire's Coconut Cream Pie are my top right now), but I just received a couple from Solub Arome (French company) that are very good: Gambhyt, which I'm vaping right now, and Chateau Haut. Neither taste anything like what they are supposed to be like (Five Pawns Gambit and Castle Long), but are really tasty, even as shake and vapes.

The Chateu Haut is a very, very nice coconut creamy flavor, and the Gambhyt that I mixed up today is a lovely lightly spicy cream flavor, with yeaaah a bit of *maybe apple?* in there. I'll see what steeping brings, but these are great blends that I will def reorder, even if they aren't close at all to their supposed namesakes. I'll be trying a few more Solub Arome flavors based on these, though.
