And I have found the culprit!!!! It was the bottle! I completely disasembled the entire Grand, and cleaned it inside and out with a mild detergent, flushed it really well, poured some iso alc in it to dry the water up quicker and let it dry for a few minutes. Plopped in a battery and tried it out, same yucky taste. I pulled the bottle out and was going to try another juice, but I sniffed it first(why I dont know), and it smelt like the taste I was getting, and not the juice. I filled up my spare bottle with the Menthol Ice and screwed it in, and voila, no more nasty taste!! What happened to the bottle I have no idea, but the new bottle solved it!! Back to reo "squonking" bliss. Thanks to all those that gave ideas

After a few days, I am experiencing a muted taste with my mini. I am using FA butterscotch that I DIY's myself. 20% flavor about 10% PG. It isn't nearly as strong a flavor as I experienced the first day. I am using a 2.0 ohm boge carto.

In my limited experience, the longer I vape a flavor, the less I can taste it. I think my buds get acclimated to the vape. I'm working on finding a suitable rotation of flavors. When I come back to my favorites after having vaped other flavors, they taste really good again. And then drop off. I think they call that diminishing returns.

That's why I tend to order juice with 2x flavor when I have that option. Oh well, I can always dilute my juice if the flavor is too strong.

I don't use cartos anymore, so unfortunately anything I suggest probably doesn't apply. Is it possible the juice separated a little in the bottle? I know with a couple flavors (like Better Butter Rum) I find that shaking my mod (yes, I know how crazy this makes me look ) just a bit once or twice a day before squeezing the bottle has alleviated that problem for me. But like I said...I'm using atomizers, so I don't know if this applies. :) I hope you find your solution....Where's Big Hitter??? I'm sure he'd have another suggestion besides my silly one.

Bumping this up in the hopes that someone who has experienced my issue can give some insight:)

Have you used the cartos before this? I have noticed that they tend to get flooded and lose taste. If you pull it off, and blow through the threaded end to clear out the tube in the middle that might help.

I tried attys on my unit, but the flavor is even less, I went back to the cartos and it is better but still muted from what it started out like. I will give blowing it out a shot though.......

I have to switch flavors back and forth or my taste buds get immune I think.
And the cartos start to decline in flavor as they go too.
Some flavors I go 5-7 days with a carto, others only make it 3 for me.

I would try filling a fresh carto and see if the carto is getting weaker or if there is another issue.

When I first started using cartos on the REO I pushed them as far as I could.
Then I got thinking about the 10 bucks a day I spent on cigs and the 1.50 carto on my REO :)
Now if its not doing it for me at any point I just chuck it and slap on a new one.

I like to keep them really wet. Some think they loose flavor if they are too wet but I have never found that.
I used to pull the DT all the time and check that the top was still wet.
Now I can tell. I start really wet and keep squonking every 5-6 hits to keep it wet.

Hope you the best flavor back.

And I have found the culprit!!!! It was the bottle!

Just got my mini and I'm having a similar problem. I think the tubing is the culprit though. It smells like the nasty taste I'm getting. Changing the bottle did nothing to alleviate the problem. There's no way I'm going to be able to use my Reo with this taste. It's terrible.

Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do to fix it?

I used a syringe and shot water through the tube a few times and washed the bottle. Didnt work. Then i found that the o-ring was what was keeping the old flavor. washed it in baking soda and water for awhile and it helped a lot. I suppose changing the o-ring would be the best solution.
