That was one of my worries, also, when I first looked into vaping. But the more I read about it, the more I concluded that even if there are things in the e-liquids that are bad, at least there are LESS of them than in "regular" cigarettes. I read one report that said when they analyzed the ingredients of one e-liquid, they found 14 substances that are known to cause cancer or which were known toxins. That sounded pretty bad until I read the following: "Cigarette smoke contains over 4,000 chemicals, including 43 known cancer-causing (carcinogenic) compounds and 400 other toxins. These cigarette ingredients include nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide, as well as formaldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, arsenic, and DDT." Granted, it depends on who you get the information from, as to how bad cigarettes are, but no one will argue that formaldehyde and cyanide haven't been found in cigarettes because it's been so widely published and reported, time and time again. I'll take the 14.
