I've been searching the forum for this, and haven't seen any recent threads on ideas for flavors to try that aren't sweet. I've tried a lot of samples from quite a few suppliers, and even though I'm trying for not sweet, about three quarters of what I've gotten seems too sweet for me.
Examples that I like so far include Earl Grey Tea, a few plain vanillas, one citrus that isn't sweet, hot cinnamon (though that's only occasionally) and some menthol and menthol tobacco.
I also like one raspberry, but most of the fruit flavors that I've tried seem to taste more like candy than fruit. I tried a mint black tea that sounded great but turned out to be like a cup of tea with three or four teaspoons of sugar in it. I have tried a few plain coffee flavors, but coffee seems to be hard to capture.
What I'd love to find would be some not so sweet spices or herbs (ginger or rosemary maybe?) or more unsweetened tea flavors, or fruits that taste like the actual fruit. I'm not against mixed flavors, but again, most of the ones that I've tried were sweet.
I'm open to any suggestions, though if a supplier only uses childproof bottles I'd have to let them"steep" until my daughter came up to visit. My hand problems are also why DIY is not a good option for me.
