Flavor Percents and aftertaste

I think I'm answering my own question as I type this. If I have a mix and the flavor lingers and leaves a aftertaste, is that a indicator the recipe is too high a percent?

I don't have the answer to your question but i'll say this. I actually enjoy a lingering after taste from several juices I vape. I think flavor is subjective to personal taste and what "you" enjoy. I've already witnessed people on the vape forums largely differ on opinions of percentages of flavors.

It would definitely help to know all the factors you have involved here. The amount of PG,VG,Nicotine,Flavoring, Brand of Flavoring and an additives you are using (Malic Acid, Sweeteners, PGA, Distilled Water) being I would say the bare minimum.

Kidding, of course, but there's likely no way to eliminate an aftertaste completely given how the flavour molecules permeate your olfactory system as you vape. Aside from using flavourless e-juice, it's just going to be par for the course.

If you run into a flavour you hate, and can't escape the lingering flavour notes, wash your face and maybe do a neti pot treatment.
