Flavor Recommendation: Something that's not sweet

So for the first time today I've finally got some real vapor working with my 401 and 901. The vapor is so lovely...

The first thing I've noticed is that the tobacco flavored TW e-liquid is very sweet.

The second thing I've noticed is that the JC original flavor is even sweeter.

I love the salty, strong taste of tobacco. I know from reading this forum regularly that "nothing actually tastes like actual tobacco."

But I'm looking for a recommendation of something salty, and dark. Something that's not actually sweet. I was a very heavy smoker, naturally as I transition from analogs to electronic I am vaporizing quite a lot -- more than I smoked -- and at the end of a vapor heavy day my mouth feels like I've been eating candy all day.

With flavors like apple, red bull, cherry and banana, I'm a little turned off and sure they're going to be very, very sweet. But then I look at more neutral flavors like virginia, mar/boro, camel, tobacco, and things like that I am naturally drawn to them. But if plain old tobacco flavor is this sweet, I need a little help.

Does anyone else share my taste? Have you found something a little less sweet and light, and a lot more dark and salty?

Hilton all the way. I did not know what I was missing. Not really sweet at all. At the end of the day your mouth almost taste like you've been smoking cigarettes. MidwestVapor Might have some left. I had gotten some 36mg and cut it down to 24mg. Hint Hint, would love some 18mg or 24mg vg hilton.


P.S. I know what you mean about them being to sweet. I cannot vape candy, just through me something nasty..lol


Crap, almost forgot - i'd gotten some camel/turkish/whatever, and haven't tried it out get though - been stuck on this hilton. I can tell you it doesn't in anyway smell sweet (the camel). That could prove to be good or bad.

I have had 4 'tobacco' flavours and the least sweet is the Camell I got from Liberty Flights. I think it is called Turk/US mix or something now!!

555 isnt to sweet to me or turkish blended. I didnt like red bull at all tasted like fruit punch.

If you want a really full flavored (and much less sweet) drier tobacco flavor I suggest trying the Cuban Cigar from Wet Your Stick. It's definitely one of my favorites. It's pretty strong flavor wise too so when I'm looking to change it up a bit I'll mix in a little 555 or RY4 to add some sweetness to it.

I cannot stand to vape sweet flavors either (they literally make me nauseous). The best non-sweet tobacco flavors I have found so far are the double flavor Dunhill and Camel from http://www.myfreedomsmoke.com/index.html . Kent from AlternaSmokes.com is also another really good non-sweet one.

I followed the link to Decadent Vapors and found that the "Roast Beef" and "Chicken" flavors mentioned weren't actually jokes. These are actual flavors.

Looking through the site I see they have an Absynthe, Attar of Rose, Lotus Flower and Habana Reserve...

Man... what I wouldn't give for a tasting bar in San Francisco.

My Black Tea arrived. Not disappointed. Quite realistic. Don't think Lipton, don't think Brit tea either.

If you go to Taiwan on business, everywhere you go they serve you little cups of this stuff. After your fourteenth meeting of the week while still jetlagged it keeps you going better than coffee would. Earthy, primal, dirty taste kinda like the way tobacco is. However, I don't think anyone does a tobacco juice this well.

Not purist, but likely it would mix well with a little citrus or ginger flavor for variety.

I wish there were more varieties like this available rather than all the silly kool-aid flavors.
