I'm wondering who offers the best prices between Capella, Flavourart, PA, FF, and LorAnns?

Best value is what counts. If Brand X is cheaper per ml than Brand Y but is weaker and needs much more to produce an acceptable taste then the cost saving goes away, also it's diluting the mix. I had some expensive Decadent Vapour flavorings which required 20-30% to get a good flavor strength. I will not buy these again.

I think the Capella flavors have a good balance of price vs strength.

And which ones are the best flavors? I'm just starting on this DIY thing...

That's pretty subjective since it varies a lot between people. I can say that FlavourArt's Torrone is the most true to taste flavor I've come across so far. Their Virginia and Dark Vapure are my favorite tobacco flavors.

What percentage works well for you in this mix? I have been playing with it and the right level of flavoring is eluding me. I think my taste buds have been getting worn out!

:p

I have next to no sense of smell, so imagine what my taste buds are like, lol. There are very few juices where I can say "Oh, this tastes just like (x)". Most, they are sweet and good, but can't necessarily assign a name to the taste. It really sucks. :(

I used to work with a fellow who had no sense of smell. It really does have a strong impact on how people taste things. Too bad e-liquids can't convey textures!

I ordered some capellas from them directly and flavourart from Happy Vaper. I am curious about ordering Flavourart directly from Italy but need to run the numbers and see if it is cheaper even with VAT. Ran a test of nine 30 ml bottles and it came to approximately 97 euro or 132 USD. Which makes it about $0.48 per ml. Happy Vaper is good for sampling flavors and it comes out to about $1.00 per ml which is fair for 3ml samples. I wouldn't order +10ml of a flavour I never tried lol.

I will continue to use Happy Vaper to sample the flavors but If I find some favorites I will go ahead and try an order directly from Flavourart. The larger quantities they will sell you up to 10 Liters :p come out even cheaper but from what I read a little of this goes a long way. Unlike Loranns or Capellas. I have over 2400 ml of nic juice to flavor over the next two years. :D

Flavourart lists their stuff in g(grams) and kg(kilograms).

1g=1ml
1kg=1L

I had a neighbor who totally lost his sense of smell in an industrial accident. He went through a lot of Tabasco sauce in an attempt to get some flavor from his food.

Funny thing is...I had a sense of smell when I moved to S. Korea with my then husband. When I left to come back stateside 2 years later, my sense of smell was gone.

I remember seeing a blip on Discovery Health once, about sometimes your sense of smell will turn itself off out of sympathy for your brain. I'm paraphrasing, of course. But I can't remember what the medical term for it is, so I could never look it up. The only other thing I can think of, is maybe I have had a sinus infection for the last 14 years. :confused:

I'm curious:

If I want to go with FlavourArt..which is cheaper? Ordering from Canada and shipping to Florida, or ordering from Italy? I'm assuming Canada is cheaper, but I'm not sure.

And....has anyone tried the Hypnotic Mist or Golden Amber? Are they tobacco flavors? There's no description.

And who has tried the savory food flavors?? SOMEONE has to have tried chicken, beef, bacon or tomato!:p

Gonna try beer as soon as it arrives. The peanut is not very good for vaping, I'd say, although mixes might work well. OTOH, the vanilla bourbon is excellent, both mints are, cinnamon is yummy, and yes, the torrone is great.

For tobacco, also try Tobacco Absolut. That one is made from Perfumers Apprentice stuff.
And then try the result with some FA vanilla bourbon!

I have tried the bacon... there is a recipe using in in the DIY sub-forum - My Maple Bacon. And I have tried a number of the other savory flavors. Corn is amazing. It tastes just like creamed corn! I have been working up some recipes with them... but it takes time. LOL

I consider Zen Garden, Hypnotic Mist, and Golden Amber to be tobacco blends. I really like Golden Amber.

I order from Happy Vaper in Canada and I live in Virginia. Shipping is reasonable and Jack is great to deal with!

:)
