all my DIY mixes are 12mg nic in a 50/50 pg/vg solution. You can use any amount of nic to your preference though. Happy Vaping!

The FW website suggests using 15%
Some of their flavors need that and more, and some don't.
I pretty much make a small test sample of each flavor on it's own, so I have a general idea of how strong it is.

That said, I just finished a mix of 15% Butterscotch, 10% CAP Sugar Cookie, and 1% sweetener.
I may do some "tweaking" when I make it again, but it's pretty good right now.
My notes read ... Light flavor, best butterscotch so far, smooth, no throat hit, and med dark in color.

I use 70pg/30vg, and 24mg nic.
Using high nic like I do, it's hard to get a "smooth" effect with no TH, so I was pretty happy with it
I'm in the process of using less nic in my latest recipes, but right now, I can't tell you what it would turn out like for others using like 6-12% nic.
Also, after 56 years of smoking, taste buds need more flavor than other do.

Aside from that, FW is know for having weak flavoring compared to other flavorings.
I never use above 20% in a recipe unless I'm using FW.

Hope you hear from others, so you will have some other opinions to balance it with.

You didn't say what PG/VG ratio or nicotine strength you make.

I make 18mg 70/30 and all MBV/FW flavors except Cranberry work strong and tasty at 12.5%-13% to me.

YMMV

EDIT - I recently made a few flavors at 12mg and thay aren't as strong tasting as the same % in 18mg.
I'll try tuning them up 1% at a time. It's still decent but less flavor at a weaker nic level.

I use MBV Flavorings which I understand are "full flavor" FW flavors. My mix is 80% PG, 20% VG and 24mg NIC. Here are the ones that I have tried and my percentages. If you don't like it as a stand alone flavor you won't like it in a mix.

Bavarian Cream - 15% It's OK but kind of disappointed. I have stand alone in CE4 but have had littles success in mixes
Cotton Candy - 15% OK stand alone but mostly use 2% to 5% to sweeten other mixes
Maraschino Cherry - Anything stronger than 5%-6% starts to get bitter. It's ok but will probably use as a mixer.
Rocky Road - 20% + 5% Cotton Candy - I love Chocolate but can't get this one right. Mixed from 2% to 25%. Gave up
Caramel Candy - Excellent at 15%
Double Dutch Chocolate - I mix at 15% with 5% Cotton Candy. It is bitter. Better as mixer. I do 80% Marshmallow, 15% DD, 5% Graham Cracker

Sugar Cookie - 17.5% Sugar Cookie and 3% Cotton Candy. This is my ADV
Butterscotch - 14% Very Good
Peanut Butter - Excellent, I like it at 12% and a friend likes it a 10%
Yellow Cake - Gets bitter above 10%. Has very little taste at all. Maybe as mixer but I have no plans for this one
Menthol - My initial mix was at 10% and that is where I left it. Strong. 5% would probably be ok
Vanilla Cup Cake - 10% Much better than Yellow Cake but not a lot of flavor. I do have a stand alone CE4 with this.
Sweet Cream - I gave up on this one. Not sweet and not cream. Mixed at 10% and 15%. I don't use this one at all.
Wintergreen - 25% and still weak. I don't use it. My mix is 7% LA Wintergreen and 4% Cotton Candy. Much better.
Green Apple - 16% Very Good.
Cinnamon Roll _ 15% Excellent
Dulce De Leche - 17.5% with 5% Cotton Candy. I like this but most of my friends don't. Have not mixed with other flavors.
Marshmallow - 15% to 17% This is one of my favorites as stand alone and mixer. Adds sweetnes and some "body"
Vanilla Ice Cream - Doesn't taste like Vanilla or Ice Cream to me. I mix at 17%. I use this 80% with 20% Marshmallow and taste pretty good but still not Vanilla Ice Cream.

These percentages should get you in the ball park. They are similar to what MBV premixed flavors taste like. I have not found this site very helpful on this kind of information. If you read long enough you will find post about almost every flavor saying "Great at 2% and the next one says "Great at 20%".

You didn't say what PG/VG ratio or nicotine strength you make.

I make juice at all nicotine levels between 0-18% for friends and relatives (about 20-25 people). I personally vape at 18% nic.

As for PG/VG, I started out at 65/35 but am leaning towards 50/50 with 5%DW and may even go to 20/80 with possibly up to 10%DW (I use the DW to thin out the high VG so as not to clog up coils so quickly). I am finding that many are not as concerned with a strong TH (which PG gives) and are more concerned with smooth taste. Also, some of my friends drip and they tell me that anything over 30% PG gives to strong of a TH.

I am reading about using 0.9% saline solution and considering that as well (replacing some of the DW %) to attempt to help with "vapors :p tongue" and dehydration effects.

I also use nothing but glass bottles and glass droppers, as I found out using a UC that when plastic is heated up a bit that it leaches a plastic taste/smell into the juice. And with a constant molecular change going on during the steep process (which can have a natural heat to it) I assume that some of that plastic taste is slowly leaching into the juice.

Boy isn't that the truth ... everybody is different !

I wanted to thank you for posting your list.
It sounds like you and I mix about the same base, and flavors %.
I haven't tried some of the ones you mentioned, but ...
I did find that their Brown Sugar is sweet, whereas TFA is not.
I like that fact, as I usually use it in a recipe that needs a bit of sweetener, and using their brown sugar makes up for it.

I back up and agree with your findings on the Butterscotch, Cinnamon Roll, Dulce de Leches, and Peanut Butter.
I only tried the Sugar Cookie at 9%, and I couldn't taste it, so was glad to hear what you found.

I talked to an "insider" at the Vegas show, who mixed for one of the companys, and he said it was common to use 30 to 35% flavoring in their mixes. He said not to go to 40% .. uck uck ... He didn't say who he works for.
We were all sitting around at the after hours party, and the "insiders" were all letting their hair down and swapping info.
I soaked up as much as I could, like a sponge.

Please post any new revelations you discover.
Thanks again

I run the vaping department at a small local tobacco shop and use FW flavors almost exclusively because I don't have the time to vary percentages greatly for each flavor. That being said here is a partial list of how I make some flavors. I use 70/30 exclusively unless a customer request a different percentage. I use 12/18/and 24mg nicotine again unless a customer requests less or 0. I have found almost all flavors I use are between 12% to 15% with very few complaints. Here is my list (the number is the percentage cuz I am lazy).

Green Apple 15
Cinn. Roll 15
Monster 14
Mt Dew 14
Butterscotch 15
Lemonade 14
Iced Tea 14
Cookies and Cream 12
Butter Pecan 14
Strawberry Kiwi 15
Extreme Ice 15
Cotton Cand 14
Creme De Menthe 15
Pina Colada 15
Ecto Cooler 12
Fruit Stripe 14
Jungle Juice 14
Bubblegum 14
Margarita 13
Mojito 13
Razzelberry 14
Red White Blue 14
French Vanilla 15
Skittles 14
Root Beer Float 13
Snickers 12.5 to 13

Pipe Tobacco 7
Master Base Tobacco (anywhere from 8 down to 3 always tastes nothing like tobacco)
Red Hots 7

That's all I can think of right now but as you can see it is pretty consistent unless the flavor is very strong, very weak, or a tobacco.

Speaking of which if someone can elaborate on their tobaccos as to which ones are good, the characteristics of each one, and or good percentages I would really appreciate it. I have no idea what to purchase from FW for tobacco or what percentage to use. I have a Marlboro and Newport at the store but use Tobacco Express for those.

Thanks and hope this helps,
Paco

Paco, really appreciate your list.
I pretty much match your %, so I guess I'm on the right track.

I have used their "Honey Wood" Tobacco once, at 3% and it's very mild.
And yes, it has a sweet undertone.
Can't help you any more than that, ..I mainly us FA (Flavor Art) tobacco.
They are the best in my opinion (right now)

I'll just have to experiment if customers start wanting more than Marlboro and Newport. I've heard Blubacco and Peach Tobacco have similar percentages as pipe tobacco so basically 7-10% depending on PG/VG ration and taste. I will be making nearly 100 bottles tonight and will try out the grape soda, coconut cream pie, and pb cup. The PB cup smells amazing btw.

Paco- I would like to hear your comments on the grape soda as soon as you can. I saw that on their site and would really like to try it.

The grape soda is fantastic if you don't expect it to taste just like grape soda. It tastes more like white grape juice + regular grape juice + an added something. It's different but good. If you go in thinking it will taste like Grape Crush or something like that you will be disappointed. PB cup reminds me more of the Reese's Puffs cereal than cocoa puffs but its good and is the darkest juice I have ever seen. The coconut cream pie is fantastic mixed at 15%. I did 13% for the PB cup and 14 for the Grape Soda. I think the grape soda could benefit from 15% or even 16%, think green apple for a similar intensity. I didn't try jolly rancher yet but it smells good. Cappucino to me is disappointing.

It was alright. Tastes like fake bacon bits....my sick friend enjoys it mixed with banana split....
Can't really do it myself but others really enjoy it
