So is the goal a neutral pH, or do you have any data related to that? I haven't focused on pH, but I have all the tools and testing equip to do so...very intrigued right now.
If you want to check your DIY balance get some PH test strips.
They are about 100 for a dollar or something like that.
Your e-juice should have a ph balance reading of between 6-8. ....6-8 is suppose to be optimal for best tasting juice
You put a drop of your juice on the strip and depending on the color when compared to the strip on the chart that comes with your pack of strips, you go ahead and counteract the reading...
Usually using pg sets it above 8 in which case you would use citric acid (lemon) to counteract it and bring it lower to the optimal of 6 - 8. this would be for fruits flavors.
Chocolate, tobacco, caramel and various other dark liquids might be lower then 6 and you would use maltic acid (vinegar, etc) to counteract it, to bring it back to 6-8
Also, you can use the "Ball" powder, if you do home canning
Ball brand would be with the canning supplies
1/2 teaspoon into 10ml of PG should yield an approximately 20% solution.
You would then use about 2 drops per 5ml of juice.
Or, .. just use the little yellow plastic lemon juice from the grocery store, or apple cider vinegar from the grocery store... they both do the job, depending on which way you want the PH to go.
I don't bother with mixing up the powder, as I have lemon juice, and vinegar in the kitchen at any given time
