I just wanted to put this out there but I have used TFA, Cappellas and FW caramel and hands down think FW taste the best. But here is the kicker, it doesn't really taste like caramel still go tho IMO

I tested caramels from TFA, FA, Cap, LA, HS and IN. I decided to make a batch with FW Dulce De Leche as I figured it was in the same flavor range and I just wanted to try it out anyway. All were mixed at the same VG and 3% for them all so I could adjust up if some flavors needed it. All the flavors were weak at 3% except for the FW DDL which was a little on the too strong side. The FW DDL had so much delicious flavor though that I instantly found one of my favorite flavors and have been vaping it all day now.

This was a blind test too, I only marked the bottom of the bottles so I didn't know what I was trying and kept notes on each. I am actually surprised how much flavor you get with such small percentages using FW, wasn't excepting that. The only other FW flavor I tried was waffle in a strawberry waffle with whip cream recipe and at 6% the waffle dominated the mix big time, going to have to try that again with just 2 or 3%.

After that test I am tempted to give the FW Caramel a shot, the only thing that is stopping me is the 2.98% Acetoin which I am trying to avoid. What percentage do you use the caramel at?

The DDL also has Acetoin I believe and at a higher percentage. I use DDL but usually at very low percentages. And I don't vape those flavors too often

At what percentage do you add ur hazelnut?

Well that's the thing. I had some hazel nut mixed at 14% at 60 PG and I just added some to my bottle of tobacco. I will have to figure out a percentage if I put it in my mix. If I were to guess I would say about 4 or 5% should work in mixing.

I have gotten a little lazy in my mixing. I don't worry so much about my pg/vg ratio being on the nose. I use a base of 50/50 PG/VG. I squirt in about a half bottle of base, add my flavorings and nicotine, then fill the bottle the rest of the way with base. Then I shake and vape or steep. A lot less measuring. My juices always come out real close to 60 PG.

EDIT: One exception to that is my tobacco. It is a different brand that uses a much lower percentage. I use a 60/40 base with it.

I'll give my tobacco recipe in case anybody wants to try it. I never did find a premade tobacco I like and I feel lucky to have chosen this one as the first DIY that I tried.
The flavor is one of only three I have that are not FW.

FA Maxx Blend 2% If you like stronger, go higher
FW Toner/Enhancer 2%
FW Hazelnut percentage to be figured out

Will be experimenting with maybe some caramel and maybe some butterscotch. This has been my ADV for a long time and I think when I get the Hazelnut worked out I'll like it even more.

Strike the caramel now that I know about the acetoin. Wish Slots had told what her perfect caramel is.

Not according to FW who states: Independently laboratory tested Diacetyl free Dulce De Leche

On the caramel they list: Contains 2.98% Acetoin. Caramel Candy

Give FA (Flavor Art) Caramel a try ..... so far, (more to try), it's on the top of my caramel list.
That's not saying it will be favored by your taste buds, but mine sure like it
The fact that I can use so much less of it, and still get a good caramel apple, caramel banana, yummy tobacco's, etc, etc, is one of the reasons it's a winner (so far) for me.

I can't see the year it was made, just that it was March 9th which is nearly 6 months ago if the year is 2015. but like most flavor makers they must have went back and changed there recipe. Cap and TFA have made plenty of changes and if both FW and Bull City Vapor both list which have bad ingredients then I assume the recipe has changed, at least I hope so. Either way we are both speculating whether the bottle I just received is the same as what you have, all I can go on is the fact that FW lists: Independently laboratory tested Diacetyl free In the description for DDL.

I thought I should tell you this. I put 4% hazelnut into some of my tabacco. It doesn't taste like my tabacco anymore. I then mixed a bottle of my tobacco with that bottle with the hazelnut effectively cutting the hazelnut to 2%. If you want to know the results of that, I will let you know after a little time has passed. All my tanks are full at the moment and I don't want to waste good juice.

Yeah it's definitely 2015. I hope they changed it as well.
