hey there....so I am REALLY new to vaping. I kind of figured I wouldnt like flavored juices, simply because I never liked flavored analogs. I think I was right..lol. I got a sample pack yesterday and heres my thoughts:

Coffee - tasted like coffee grounds...(when I was a teenager, I lived on the streets for a couple of years, and one night while dumpster diving at a pizza place in the middle of the night, got a pizza covered in coffee grounds...swollen throat for a week...same taste)

Tobacco - very perfumey...ugh

Watermelon - could almost taste it...but over powering

Blueberry - same as Watermelon

I have two others, and will probably end up PIFing all 5, and 5 more coming in the mail. So ill go back to the retail store and get a flavor I know I like from ElectroNicStix..

CML - tasted like lightly smoked cheddar cheese at first...which, oddly, I really liked...lol

so here is my questioned: will the nicotine level affect how pungent the flavor is?? I like lots of nicotine, for far the lowest I have vaped is 24MG...

Someone is sending me a 50/50 24MG unflavored sample and if I like it I will probably just start mixing my own unflavored juice....seems cheaper to DIY anyway...

I guess I am just more into the vapor production and nicotine that emulates smoking so much...I duuno...lol

welp, I am off to wash these tanks and blow out attys in prep for the good stuff!! thanks....

Some juices need to sit for a while before the flavors taste right. Give'em a week or two and try them again. I've noticed that tobacco flavors take a long time and usually just taste nasty until they've aged. Fruit flavors take about a week before the flavors start coming out nicely, before that and they're kind of bland. If you've got some 24 mg unflavored you won't be able to get any flavoring in there without bringing the nic level down. Some people like "naked" juice anyway so try it as is before messing with it.

I only DIY my juices. I say visit Crystal Clear Vaping for some nicotine base and onestopDIYshop for the flavor apprentice artisan kit. The kit comes with 6 flavors of your choice, huge bottles of PG and VG and all the hardware you need for mixing. While you're there, get some menthol crystals and some Tobacco Absolute. You mix both of these with pure grain alcohol for the flavors.

Expect a bit of a learning curve for DIY, but overall you may find that it suits you a lot better than the premixed. In particular, you mentioned that the fruit flavors you've tried are overpowering. I think the same thing, but just a little berry flavor added to a tobacco mix makes for a fine concoction!

ok, another question then...does the amount of nicotine alter "the bite" or is it PG/VG? I vape this stuff from ElctroNicStix call "CML" its 26MG nic in a PV base...I love it...the stuff Im not liking so much is 36MG 80/20 PV/VG....would that have anything to do with it? Ive also been vaping (today) some RY4(x) at 16MG and it tastes like bourbon and water (or what I remember bourbon and water tasting like 20 years ago)...next payday Im going to get some DIY at start experimenting...lol

I was a menthol analog smoker for over 30 years. When I started vaping, I thought I would continue with the menthol. What I found was a wonderful world of flavor possibilities. Some I like and others, not so much. That said, as a menthol smoker one might say I never really experienced tobacco flavor. Recently, after over two years of vaping, I am discovering the excellent tobacco flavors being produced.
