flavoring never comes out right need help

Ok I have mixed about 4 batches of eliquid since I started making my own. 3 were flavored and one was unflavored. Well all the flavored ones taste like they have no flavor or maybe some hint of something that doesn't really match what I am trying to create like flowers or something when using real honey or vanilla. Well I decided to get some super concentrated flavors from vapingzone and they smell much stronger in the bottle. But then I mix them using above the dosage which is 2.5% that they suggest. Like 4.5% and still it has no flavor at all. Is there something I'm doing wrong? The only flavor I've tried from vapingzone super concentrated was crème at 18 mg 50/50 and it tastes like nothing. But I know the flavoring is real because I can smell it in the bottle. I just need advice. Maybe I need to up the dosage? Maybe something else?

Well, using real honey or kitchen vanilla extract really won't work well at all. You do need concentrated flavors for vaping, since very little of the flavoring gets vaporized in each inhale.

And creme is probably not the best flavor to start with either, because it's by definition a somewhat subtle flavor. Here's a couple of tips:

1. Start out with a fairly distinctive flavor, perhaps mint, orange, strawberry.
2. Make sure you shake the flavor concentrate well before using, and shake the e-liquid well after mixing
3. Start out with a little bit of flavoring, and gradually add more. If you use too much flavoring it will taste like you're using little or none, there's definitely a sweet spot.
4. Many flavors get better after sitting for a while (perhaps several weeks). People refer to this as "steeping" (although some really hate that name!) This is particularly true for some flavors (tobacco and bakery in particular) and less true for fruits, in general.
5. You can go to the DIY section here, and get some specific recipe to try; see if you can imitate what others have done before trying your own mixes from scratch.

Hope these suggestions help!

Real honey is the name of the flavoring and vanilla is not from the kitchen either it is also a flavoring. I will try shaking the flavoring before using it. I will try menthol next since I figure that has to work.

Sorry, misunderstood your post; I thought you meant that the vapingzone creme was the first e-liquid flavor you tried!

And yeah, menthol is a good flavor to try (if you like menthol).

Good luck!

Well I put about 15% of the stuff you are supposed to use 2.5% with and I have rewicked. Well its kind of hard to say if there is any flavor because I brought the nicotine up to 18 mg from 3 mg and can barely inhale it. Plus I am still sick and my nose is stopped up so I think that is effecting it. If it does finally taste like it is supposed to it doesn't taste all that good. Not like whipped crème. More like crème soda but kind of not at the same time. I will do more experimenting and see what I can do.

Too much flavor can have a negative result. It overwhelms our taste receptors and they shut down.. There's hardly any flavor made for vaping that needs over 10%.. There are a few but majority are between 2-10% some even lower than 1%.

If you have a cold that is really is not a good time to explore unknown diy. Most of all cream flavors need at least a week steep minimum 3 weeks for best results in many cases.. Patience in diy is a huge rewarding experience.

twgbone gave thread shut down reply not much to say he was on the bullseye..
