Hi Eli,
I'm by no means an expert on the matter, I'm still pretty green myself. However, I have found that I dislike tobacco flavors. I usually go for sweet stuff like vanilla, caramel, etc. While TastyVapor had mix your own flavor on special I ordered some orange cream + pineapple. Even straight out of the bottle, that stuff was to DIE FOR!!! I'm currently letting it steep and vaping some Karma Scotch, which is a caramel/butterscotch blend from a different vendor. There are so many choices and I have trouble deciding on one single fave...

cartridges as in prefilled cartridges that push onto atomizers are usually juice cheap Chinese PG juice. I have no interest in those. I only use atomizers for dripping (on a manual battery).

as for cartomizers, I found a couple of prefilled flavors I like for my 2-piece model from Vapor4Life but mostly I use my liquids in them. I start with a blank or a prefill and top off with juice

Juices - first 2 months I had to vape tobacco juices and I tried dozens until I found one that really clicked with me - Backwoods Brew Casablanca. I also found the stronger FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship to be a good analog-like and I would add chocolate, vanilla or oRYental 4 from FreedomSmokeUSA to the cart to change up the flavor. Then I fell for the mixers and now vape cocoa tobacco (vapor4life WOWbacco) with added cocoa (FreedomSMokeUSA Cocoa premixed), plus vanilla (Backwoods Brew Vanilla Bean sometimes mixed with Tasty Vapor Ultimate Vanilla). I also still like oRYental 4 (sweet caramelly ry4), a good peach, blueberry, and I like to try lots of flavors.

When i first switched to my 510 i swear i only would use tobacco flavored juice, as for it would replicate my regular smoke, now that its been a month, i find more neutral flavors to be better. For example, i use Cherry cola from rockstar vapor as my all day feed, and i love mixing it up with a few fruit flavors, peach mango is a good one, but i rarely go back to the tobacco flavors anymore.

I stay away from pre-filled cartos... for one, I dont like cartos... not enough vapor and flavor for me. Also, like Dormouse said, pre-filled cartos are filled with cheap, nasty liquid a lot of the time. There are some exceptions, some vendors will put their high-quality liquids in cartos. I've been vaping for about 1.5 years and I love atomizers. Nothing produces the vapor, throat hit, and flavor that an atomizer can.

Backwoods Brew is my vendor of choice... I've tried a bunch, but certainly not all. I didnt like tobacco flavors much until I tried BWB tobaccos... Casablanca is really amazing... I mix in a little bit of his medium menthol. His prices are great, so pick up a few small bottles and try them out. Grab a few of each... tobacco, fruit, dessert... and see what you like!

Also note that some of his flavors need to steep (sit around in a cool dark spot) for about 2 weeks to reach their full flavor.

I like my cartos that I fill with my yummy cheesecake flavor and bigred gum flavor I got from DIYflavorshack. I dont think I could go a day without those. I started out with Mentha from Vaportalk because I didnt know there was such a huge variety of flavors, that and because I used to smoke menthols...I am glad I got the menthol to begin with, but I would never even think of going back to analogs after the cheesecake flavor...I loves it sooooo much!!

Watch out for vendors that offer super cheap prices on their juices, and do not hand-mix their juices, but rather buy them in bulk from an outside supplier. These I've had the worst experiences with. For example, Liberty Flights juices are subpar, downright nasty compared to a company that hand-mixes their own, such as mrs.t's, thevaporroom, vaperite, juicy vapor, kickbassvapor, etc. I had a bad experience with LF juice, and the owner basically told me to try another one in VG, no apologies, no attempt to keep me as a customer. When I brought it up on LF's forum, he got defensive. A quote from him: "With regards to the juice, we are looking in to several flavours that had quality control issues at the supplier end, these things happen and it just means that those lines are not quite as nice as they have been in the past". Unfortunately, this comes down to trial and error more so than trusting someone's review.

When I quit smoking, I stayed away from tobacco. I was too scared that it would trigger me back into smoking. I vaped everything but that. Now I really enjoy sweet fruit flavors (mango, cantaloupe, cucumber, papaya). I change flavors frequently through the day. I also like coffee vapes with breakfast and desert flavors after dinner. There are only a few tobaccos that I enjoy and that is pure cig and voodoo from freedomsmokeusa.

Also, I like Boge standard and low resistance cartomizers. A cartomizer is a cartridge and atomizer combined. Just fill it and go. Top off when needed. Cheap and work well for me.

BWB has good prices AND hand-mixes their juice... right when you order it! ; )

I'm wondering if it's not a taste thing too... as in, if you tend to crave sweets, food-wise, then you'll enjoy the sweet juices, vaping-wise... I tend to enjoy salty/savory foods... I just started trying out juices... I'm pretty new, about a month and a half in... actually just started trying them today, in fact :D I got samples from Vapors Etc. So far, I'm enjoying trying the new flavors, but I still find I rather the tobacco flavored juices more... Maybe I'll transition into liking the sweeter ones more as time goes by... I hope so :D Either way, finding out what you like and dislike is sooooo much fun and you can find really good deals out there... I've heard so many good things about the Backwoods Brew Casablanca, I'm thinking I'll have to try that one next :D Good luck and have fun finding out what you like :D

I'll have to check them out Chornbro...have heard some others on the forum mention them.

I love Casablanca and Applewood... both are tobacco vapes. Blueberry is wonderful if you like fruit... Malty is really weird, but really nice... It's like sugary seltzer water! If you want to try some food/sweet vapes, his waffles are fantastic too... you'll think you're eating waffles!

Only drawback is that some flavors need to steep (sit around for ~2 weeks) to really bloom... blueberry, malty, waffles are good right out of the mailbox... most tobacco flavors need to sit.

I was a strict menthol smoker. Now I'm growing partial to FreedomSmokeUSA's Cappuccino Smooth. But I also have a few WOWboy peppermint carts for when I get the urge.

I have a vape you'd absolutely loveeeeeee... BWB Casablanca mixed with BWB Medium Menthol... 70/30 casa/menthol.

Rich turkish tobacco flavor with a nice menthol kick... it's heaven!

I haven't tried many tobacco flavors yet. I have one I like that tastes similar to a Black & Mild but it's not an all day vape for me a little B&M goes a long way...the other I tried I also liked it it was supposed to imitate Marlboro it was a very clean tobacco with a slight hint of caramel to it.

My faves have been a very nice coffee flavor very clean lovely on the exhale, an Irish Cream (It still amazes me that they can make a vape feel smokey and creamy at the same time). The only fruity one I like so far tastes like fruit stripe gum. I love it but can't vape it all day like I can the coffee.... I've found unless it's very light I can't do sweet for an all day vape. I think it's because I get enough sugar in my coffee.

I've only been vaping for a little over a month. I've tried samples from Velvet Vapors, LF (with my Riva order), Bombay Vaping, and FSUSA.

I wasn't crazy about LF juice. The menthol tobacco was okay I guess. It's what I had at the time and weaned myself off of analogs with. The lemon wasn't horrible. Mango was tasteless, even after steeping. Watermelon was kinda meh.

Bombay Cinnabomb was 'da bomb'. It's too potent for me to vape for very long though. I haven't given the other samples more than a cart of a chance yet.

VV was terrific overall. The shipment was super fast, like 2 days I think. The Bavarian Cream is simply divine. Black Cherry was refreshing and tastes great. Caramel Latte has a very strong coffee scent and flavor. Too strong for me, but then again, I'm not a coffee drinker. I didn't care for the Buttered Rum. It just smells way too strong. I couldn't vape it. If you like that sort of thing then go for it, it may be yummy. The other samples were nice too. She also threw in extras. :)

FSUSA was my favorite. Their Cumbermelon will now be my general all day vape. It is smooth and doesn't assault your senses. The watermelon, and hypnotic mist were both great too. I mixed the free sample of Wyatt Earp they sent with the LF menthol tobacco and it saved the day. Warning, if you order tobacco with menthol added, think twice about asking for double flavor.

Wow, this turned into a review, sorry. Long (darn long) story short, FSUSA Cumbermelon and VV Bavarian Cream are my new go to juices. I'm still sampling though.
