Man, that's real subjective...what sort of flavours do you like when eating / drinking?

Inexperienced here too. Just been going for owt what caught my eye. Seems I'm happy on owt with banana in it. Also, discovered I like vaping 'Jam on Toast' 'bout as much as I like eating it. Which is about once a blue moon.

Splitting it into categories, what I've discovered so far is that there's menthol / cool flavours, fruit and creamy / milky flavours. If you can work out which of the three you'd prefer, maybe experiment within that 1 category to make the choices less overwhelming?

LiQuid Online sell British made £1 10ml liquids of all kinds (except high PG). That cheap makes experimenting with flavours possible on a budget. That's how I've been figuring what I like. Then, knowing what's good for me, I'm willing to 'splash out' on more expensive brands, y'know?

But guessing by you're spellings, you're in the US...?

That question is like asking what's the best car, the best book, or the best kind of food.

The flavoring agents used in e-liquid is the same which is used in food. So, a good place to start is the kind of food or candy that you like to eat you may like to vape. However, that's not always the case with vape flavors.

I absolutely hate to eat anything with coconut, but I have found that I like a lot of vape flavors that have coconut in them (Castle Long or Pina Colada). I love to drink Fruit Punch, but have yet to find a fruit punch vape that I like. I don't like custard deserts, but custard vape flavors are my current favorite. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but coffee vape flavors were my first favorite flavor genre.

Finding a tobacco flavor that tastes like a cigarette is near impossible, because no food flavoring tastes like tobacco.

Cinnamon, mint, and menthol are the strongest flavors.

While I agree with Baditude on finding a juice that tastes like a modern cigarette and that there are no flavors that mimic tobacco accurately, there are some amazing tobacco flavors available.
I couldn't get behind anything commercial I tried. I am a former smoker, cigs and premium cigars, including my fare share of Cubans. I got serious about vaping when I ran across RealTobaccoExtracts.com, these juices really taste like tobacco which was exactly what I was looking for in the vape experience.
Like my humidor, they have a wide variety of high quality, naturally extracted products that are way better than anything else I have tried.
If it wasn't for RTE, I would probably be a dual user.

It is surprising as they are saying here. I love to eat licorice. I ordered a licorice vape juice and hated it. I love the taste and smell of gin. Ordered a gin flavour e juice and hated that.

Have to agree with other responses on here so far hemi. You can vape pretty much any flavor you can imagine. Most of them you'll be able to find pre-made by various companies online (usually in multiple versions when you look at more companies, example- a ton of companies may make banana strawberry but it will be a little different everywhere when buying from different companies). If you can't find what you're looking for, you can also look into making your own e-liquids (with some practice and reading up on the subject first, you may love your own creations). Personally, I switched to vaping about five years age and fruit/drink type flavors vapes really helped me the most. For one, I wasn't trying to match exactly what my cigs used to taste like, so it made dropping them easier, IMHO. But, trying new stuff is one of the great parts of vaping. Enjoy the search, you'll probably find flavors that are amazing, even if they weren't exactly what you were looking for.

It is all subjective obviously, but if you are looking for a fruit punch type vape then Boulevard by Wick Liquor is worth checking out, really tasty fruity stuff.

You might find your tastes change after your tastebuds regain strength after not smoking for a while.

I second getting sample packs from different sites. I will also warn that the good but pricey stuff will spoil you, but I think it is worth it.

My favorites are pretty much all alice in vapeland, although I am also a regular customer of ec blends because I have a particular love for floral and tea flavors, and they are good there and inexpensive. (Vaping honeysuckle green tea? Yes!)

Good luck, welcome, and happy exploring!
'Owt' = Northern English for 'anything'

BONUS

'Nowt' = 'Nothing'

Thanks for the fun fact! I am going to incorporate these, I think. I am a sucker for new words...
