When I first started DIYing I found a few recipes I wanted to try and then just bought the flavorings (from the manufacturer) identified in the recipe.
For all things DIY head on over to the DIY ELiquid Forum. Lots of great info in all the "stickies". Below is the information I often give to members new to DIY.

There are many suppliers, and most of them have adherents. Much better info will be available over in the DIY Forum. That said, I buy all of mine from Flavor Apprentice.

I think you have to get "full member" status before you can roam around in the DIY page. You need 5 posts, so just reply to this thread 3 or 4 times and wait till the server resets (like half past the hour or something like that) and you should be good to go. I also use The Flavor Apprentice brand flavors as well as Flavor Art, Hangsen, Inawera, and Flavor West. Bull City Vapors and Ecig Express are good sites to buy from. One Stop DIY Shop too.
All of the above has been great advice, we have an outstanding knowledge base here at ECF, I've used all of the above and found the flavoring to be excellent.........lately I've been using Heartland Vapes concentrates and find them to be good as well. I would start with just a few flavors to begin with and then go from there( I've used their blueberry lemonade at 80/20 and as a stand alone has been very good at 10%) it takes allot of trial and error but by seeking advice here you will save much time and money, Best to you!
PS; a friend from Michigan has shared some flavorings from DIY flavor shop and have been very satisfied with their quality as well..........
