Flavour Slightly Off After Cleaning a Clearomizer

I've been cleaning my clearomizers (long wicks) with tap water a few times and will do a dry burn after each clean. However, I noticed that the juice is starting to taste a little "off" and the vapor seems a bit warmer as well. I am using the clearos on a standard Ego 1100mah battery and didn't have any issues the first time using them. I make sure I dry the clearomizers as much as possible between washes.

Is something wrong with the clearos? I have continued vaping after letting the juice sit in a clearo overnight but the taste and the warmth of the vapour are still a little weird.

Any 'factory' wick/coil setup will eventually get 'worn out'. A lot has to do with the material being used for the wick. The repeated wetting and drying of the material changes the original dynamics. Can this clearo be partially disassembled by pulling the clear tank part away from the base? Don't force it if it doesn't rock off easily. If it does, try fluffing the wick material all they way to where it disappears into the coil tube. See if that makes a difference.

Be advised that the main intent of a lot of the 'inexpensive' clearos is that they are throw away. If they don't perform as designed after a period of time, replace them.

Thanks for the response. It's a little sad because these clearos have been used less than one or two weeks. I only started vaping not long ago. The clearos cannot be taken apart but I will definitely order the updated versions where I can interchange the wicks / coils. I still like clearomizers.
The Q is how much was a pack of cigarettes? Most folks do not want to hear this, but it is the only common denominator to be used. A carto that has lasted a week has paid for itself. I guess the Q remains - what are you willing to pay for vaping satisfaction? Regardless in the long run it is still far cheaper than smoking but folks need to stop being so cheap when it comes to vaping.

A carto was designed for one time use and maybe one refil, after that it starts to go downhill. Rule of thumb if a carto has gone through 7-10ml of liquid, then it has done its job and it is time to lay it to rest.

Cost is not the issue but obtaining supplies is. I am from Malaysia and most local sellers are out of stock. Also, I am fairly new to vaping and was only asking a question on whether it is normal that a clearomizer will produce slightly warmer vapour after a couple of washes. And I was referring to clearomizers (Stardust) not cartomizers, which I think are different.

Anyway, thanks for the reply. I'm still learning so I guess I will start to understand how things work with more experience.
