No one uses the Blue Foam mod?! :(

I sure do, with all kinds of carts (401, 510, 901, 801).

The marine-land-rite-size-u foam works for all except its too thin for the larger 801, for that atty i use a different foam product that comes in a block instead of a thin sheet. I chose a block that has a cell structure similar to the blue foam, a black foam product made by Hagen.

The pieces i cut are bigger than the pieces shown in the video. I make them about 2/3s as long as the cart, and wider than the cart opening so they have to be compressed along that dimension to slip them into the cart.

New foam can impart a bad taste, so prior to using it, I prep it by boiling in water for several minutes and let soak in clean filtered water for an extended period of time (hours). I might do that boil rinse a few times before drying and using for the first time.

The foam bits can be washed and reused many times over. I freshen them up by pouring freshly boiled water over them into a shot glass. This lifts all the old liquid out and visibly perks them up. I've yet to discard one.

This stuff is resilient and easy to work with. On a first fill of a cart, I drip into the cart, then slip the foam in. On a refill, I push the foam down a bit with a paperclip, drip into the cart, then pull the foam back up with a paperclip and plunge it a few times to get the air out.

Foam is a much better cart stuffing material if you ask me. Better at delivering liquid into the atty, easier to work with, and really lasts.

Also, perhaps I should clarify...

The filler material (be it fluval, blue foam, PTB, Stock Polyfill) in the cartridge is NOT the wick.
The wick is the metal mesh material on the bridge of the atty.

Saying that PTB wicks well may be the wrong way to say it...
The wick on the atty absorbs the liquid from the PTB more efficiently than it does from the stock polyfill..

So in your opinion PTB is the best method? How much juice can you put in a PTB cart at one time?

Yes, in my opion...take it with a grain of salt...

imagine the cart with NO filler material in it.

I first precut and roll and fold and trim my ptb.
Then remove it, so the cart is empty.
I fill that up almost to the top, maybe a toothpick thichness below the top.
Then slowly put the ptb back in the cart.
Then top off with another drop.
Give just a dab on the top with a paper towel.
The top should look slushy, not like a puddle.

So basically maximum amount of juice goes in a new PTB modded cart.

When refilling with an already used ptb cart, I can put probably 3/4 that much juice.

So, how often do you have to change out the PTB filler?

It's really almost limitless, because it doesn't burn or melt.
It's made of nylon, The atty doesn't get hot enough for that.

But it does get mis shapen..not sure how to spell that word..lol..

After a few refills, I can just rinse it with water, and pat it dry with a paper towel, and re use it.

I'd say a good 10 uses out of each one.
But you get 2 fillers from each tea bag.
Box of 20 costs about 3 bucks.

so 20 teabags = 40 fillers for 3 bucks
10 uses each = 400.
3/400 = Less than a penny for each refill.

Not bad, and they're readily available at most grocery stores?

Yep, Make sure it says "Pyramid Tea Bag" on the box.
Lipton is the only one I know of that makes them, but can't be sure about that.
And they have pictures of them on the box. You can see through the bag and actually see the tea...
I'll try to find a pic

So, we just waste the tea that's in the bag? And does that become part of the taste of the juice when vaped?
