I don't have a VV yet but isn't the 3+ ohm meant for higher voltage like 5v?
it is and as the volts go higher the burnt taste gets stronger and stronger. iv got it set to the lowest volt i can and it still has a burnt taste. when i "break" in a carto i drop it to 3.3 to make sure its fully soaked with juice as i use tanks. did the same thing with these and a burnt taste from the get go. at 4.0 its like so bad i went out side as my room now smells like iv been burning cig fliters

ill try the flipped cap ideal when i get home. i used 2 different flavors in a total of 4 of these now and they all have a burnt taste to them. one is gummy bears and the other is Swedish fish from gv. im so confused as iv read great things about these but with the high ohms and low volts they shouldnt be burning things up or at least i wouldn't think so

I got rid of the burnt rubber taste by further modding the O-ring itself. Here's my video on what I did, and they vape like nothing else after these mods.

You can achieve the cut out a lot easier using a 'wad punch' I did this back in the CE-2 long thread days. Rings on top - before; rings on bottom after. Notice you can even make the wick slots more wick friendly.

I picked up a kit from the $Bargain store for about $7. It had 6 different sizes in it. Just hit it with a hammer - done. Clean as a whistle too.

Nice! I'm going to have to look for some of those, they'd be perfect. Thanks for the tip!

Does enlarging the Cup Seal ID or the O-Ring ID cure the Burnt Taste because it somehow improves wicking? Or is it because less vapor is in contact with the Black Rubber material.

Some have mentioned in other posts that the Black Cup Seals/O-Rings/Mouth Pieces have a Funky Rubber taste. Kinda like chewing on a old 185/70 Goodyear tire.
